Before the Storm and 8.1 Spoilers:Look who's ALIVE!Seems a certain pair whose fate was unknown by the end of the book may have survived and appear in game. Totally the mother and father of the forthcoming, mech-riding, goblin-and-gnome-only Tinker hero class in 9.0, post faction divide! Calling it now! I'm so happy they're alive!
This, coupled with Druz finally being added in from Blank Scroll?Makes me a very happy Gobbo main. Thank goodness they're okay!
Good to see more direct witnesses to the horde's many atrocities survive
Knew it! Remember kids: no body, no death. So, so happy about this. These guys were my favorite part of the novel.
that book was bad and i regret buying it. soo easter egg from it doesnt really matters. It a freaking book and it only give alliance pov basically
Yay! \o/
I'm so glad to see that they're alive! They were my favorite part of the book.
That actually got me good in the book. I was like what the freak man! They went all through that noooooooooooooo!. hahaha Glad to see those two are alive and well this def made my day.
That`s so nice. A little sunbeam in the ocean of childish edgy "grimdark".
Man, I'm so glad they made it! A small detail, but one that completely delights me.
Call me an optimist and a hopeless romantic, but I always assumed they were alive and would pop up. This makes me smile. Their story was adorable.

But...they died. Don't get me wrong, they were the only characters I liked in that book. Honestly I didn't care much for the book (I know I can be a bit harsh, but I've always found Golden's characters to be overly simple. Flat characters with no real variation). Even so, I liked those two. They were cute enough that I could look past it all. But, they clearly died. That was the whole point, yes? Those azerite weapons are incredibly volatile and deadly and they were well within the blast radius of it. Sure, we can survive them in game, but that's game mechanics. Not lore. It's like how the people thrown in the stockades don't just hearth out. Hearthstones are more a game mechanic for the player rather than a story point. It saddened me when those characters died, and I absolutely wanted them to live...but that's what happened. Honestly, it sort of feels like it cheapens their struggle and sacrifice just to have them show up again. Like in those cheesy comic book stories where the super hero sacrifices themselves to save the city/world/person/etc...only to show up again later. If the story were to have them live, they should've escaped. Not been caught in the explosion and show up later "for reasons" :( Yes yes, there was that ring but, bah it feels like a cheap cop out.I know, I'm way overthinking it but as an avid reader, bad plot points are a huge pet peeve for me. And, again, I know, I'm probably playing the wrong game if I don't like bad plots lol.
I look forward to finding them
I'm glad they survived, their story was really cute. I couldn't care less about Azerite and its so called power at first, but reading about the pair as they were working on it made it interresting. Can't wait to find them in game :)
sooooo he turned traitor? while i find the story cute- a gnome and a gobbie getting married- i dont like this traitor business at all. >:[i can't imagine the alliance being ok with this either. i mean, they're just as racist as we are, lets be honest...
