Exploits like this are as bad as botting. I am sure if they do permanently ban people, 90% of those banned will buy BfA and sub again.
I do every quest since launch, didnt miss single one(except those for mats dumping) and yesterday hit exalted with 7th legion and made my dark iron,i can't understand how ppl reached exalted with champions,i have contract and i just hit revered yesterday...okay humans have more rep,but can human reach exalted with champions for less than 2 weeks?I doubt it.They should have look at everyone's rep and made a simple math, how many quests are done since they hit 120 and how much rep should they have.Everyone with exalted with Champions should be ban imo.And yes if you run quests and see the quest is still there u must be a idiot not to realize it is a bug and u should report it.I didnt able to do a quest yesterday and i reported it shortly after i asked in chat if anyone else can't do it.Exploiters deserve to be out of the game, permanent!
What about low level toons abusing northerend engineering, blizz don't give a $%^& unless something goes viral, it's sad, fix your game you billionaire bums
I'd love to see the abusers have all of their reps rolled back to Friendly, their Heart of Azeroth back to level 1, and all of the gear they got from WQs reverted. They want to cheat? They can build everything back up from scratch the oldfashioned way.
Wow. I'm glad I never run into things like that. Does anyone know which WQ is it so I can run away from it as far as possible? I'm just glad I can play so I don't wanna complete this WQ once and then accidentally end up with the bunch of people who are exploiting it.
This post was from a user who has deleted their account.
Sounds great, was wondering how anyone could technically already reach EX as I did every single one of the WQ in any zone and my furthest faction is 7th Legion on 16/21 with not having completed every world quest on the first two days. But even though not remembering to have repeated any wq in an unintended fashion I fear to be falsly accused of the same exploiting methods. Hope nothing will happen. :/
I've been clearing all WQs since last week and would log out when only Dungeon WQs are left, but I never encountered this bug? Which one was it?
Good. People are fully aware it was unintentional. There's no snarky "clever use of game mechanics" meme here either. I personally hope their reps are rolled back to friendly and they're all suspended for 2 weeks. You can't possibly have thought what you were doing was legit or going to pass. It was known for days, blue commented about it that they knew. Now suffer.
Ok, so I for one wasn't even aware of WQ exploit until just now reading this. No, I didn't repeat quests, as stated above blizzard has done a hotfix which means that this took place sometime in the past 24hrs! BUT needless to say, Blizzard does have VERY VERY extensive log's to review and a lot of time on their hands to go through and find those who did repeat the WQ's that stayed active. needless to say if those who did repeat the same WQ's and then began to realize that "oh I've done this WQ more then once in less then say 30mins, there is something wrong here" right thing for that player/persons is to open ticket and report it and move on with OTHER events in the game and not do it again. blizzard will recognize a players behavior based upon the logs of completing the WQ way more than its meant to be. like others have posted maybe they didn't realize it was a bug/glitch and and did it again only to realize they did complete it AGAIN and continued on with others blizzard might see that players logs showing "hey this person did it twice" compared to "hey this player did this WQ 5,6,7 times and repeated another WQ's the same way" very noticeable differences. so those who want to plant the blame on Blizzard for a glitch, shame on you, for those who want to blame the player for taking advantage, shame on you as well for stooping that low. for those remaining in the neutral and saying blizzard will handle those who overly stepped past and broke TOS, for those who didn't realize it till it was rather too late, and for those who did notice after repeating but reported the problem, blizzard will handle all cases.
Its immoral for Blizzard to punish players regardless of any legal jargon buried in the terms of service agreement. If you are dropping the ball in some way, put your energies into fixing that. If a bank left its doors unlocked and the cash just sitting there whose fault is it the money got stolen? Its the banks job to secure the money because its beyond the ability of the average person to refrain from stealing it. Wrong to steal? Sure, but get real. And honestly Blizzard's been screwing up a little too much lately even though its an awesome game with a lot of great new content. There's times where I'm literally walking on air in the game because the bridges are invisible. Maybe I should be banned for using an invisible bridge?
LMAO Perma ban for something this minor? Valquois needs to calm down and stop being a baby. Just reset their reps thats the only major thing that happened. The economy hasn't seen any major inflation issues, Gearing isn't benefiting anything since M+ or raids are even out. Dude is blowing this way out of proportion, it'd be like banning people for abusing the Legion portals for power leveling and gold grind.
Déjà vu didnt this happen in legion as well?
