Could also up the dmg of rip ans rake by 10% as well but the changes are welcome as they are
And of course no word about the overall bad damage feral does. Silly me to expect a real fix for feral...
LOVE YOU!
Or how about making berserk actually be a decent dmg increase instead of just a button to hit
Is this "buff" a joke boys?
Not good enough really, there's no reward for playing feral perfectly above someone pressing 3 buttons and getting top dps. Completely disappointing.
Good news, everyone, Elune blessing you!
what about feral regen problems ?
Do we know if this will translate into bear as well for swipe and thrash to help with aoe threat?
Its at least something..
Uh.. That's pretty.. disappointing. Feral lacks in ALL types of combat. AoE and single target, tho I gotta admit AoE was alright-ish, compared to the abysmal single target damage. I hope that's just the beginning of the tuning and more will follow in the next days.
These don't do anything.\r\rThanks for the bait post.
It’s a good start but doesn’t address our redicules ramp up time for bleeds. Atm without significant haste it’s not viable to bleed non boss targets, making our mastery and to a degree the haste we have completely useless. Something like a PVE version of the instant application of rip/rake would help prevent this.\r There’s also the issue of haste itself- it feels bad when haste Simms so much higher than agi atm- a step back from the primary orientated feel we were told BFA would bring. Having to turn down a 15ilevel increase in gear because it lacks haste (and to date less than 20% of the gear world quests have provided haste items on EU) feels bad. \r I’m happy the issue is been looked at but please don’t leave a fun class like feral in the dirt :)
what really blizz? i will main my auto attacks again because the energy regen is a #$%\rhow is posible that bliz don't see that we are in the last position on sigle target dps...
Energy regeneration is not a problem. It's part of the spec's design that most the time you're limited by energy rather than by GCDs. The behaviour during 7.3.5 was an exception that meant we could often ignore a major part of the spec. I recommend using the spare time to plan out your next few attacks and their timing so you can make the most of snapshots and cooldowns. Hammering ability buttons as soon as you have enough energy to do something is rarely the best DPS option for Feral.\r\rI'm hopeful for these changes. I've been enjoying how feral plays mechanically in dungeons (Predator, Jagged Wounds, Brutal Slash, Bloodtalons) but disappointed by the results in AoE situations.\r\rRemember there's likely to be a minor tuning pass on almost all specs around the launch of the raid to even things out on single target. SimulationCraft's BFA support is still in beta so comparing spec damage through that is not going to be accurate.\r\rSide note: the Thrash increase will mean it's worth keeping the bleed active on single target fights regardless of what level your haste and mastery is at. Although it'll still be roughly damage-neutral (compared to using the energy on Shred) until you get higher values.
Energy regeneration is not a problem. It's part of the spec's design that most the time you're limited by energy rather than by GCDs.\rWhen autoattacks are the top source of damage, that's an energy starvation problem, an "abilities don't do nearly enough damage" problem, or both. Either way it feels really bad.
Sadly this is nothing more than a band-aid being applied to an amputated limb. As usual it's painfully clear that Blizzard failed to listen to their beta testers in regards to feral performance and spend so little time playing their own game that they're unable to tell how ineffective these buffs will actually be. The feral skill set requires a complete rework at all levels if they're to be remotely competitive as the expansion opens up.
I was hoping for an actual fix to the spec as they're just underperforming so much from literally every other spec. Sure, this will help in AoE situations, but the lack of proper tuning, together with its current state, is honestly very depressing. I had much higher hopes for this announcement.
You know someone always will have to be last on dps right?
So one of the most under-performing, least rewarding specializations is going to remain that way? Good to know. Let's not get too hasty and attempt to balance anything out. Nope, let's make Feral cleave better - that will solve the massive disparity in single target and bleeds tickling things for damage. Just auto-attack to success while your energy pools for the next five seconds, boys. Seems completely legit.
