how classic goes to 300 if legion goes to 100? LMAO
So, wait. If I'm at 800 now and I only get 100 in BfA, does that make me 100/300 in "classic'? How is that right? I am NOT releveling classic recipes just to re-max it....the wording is very confusing.
If I got it right it is going to be similar like Pandaren cooking where we had sub classes. Means If you 800 you get:Classic 300/300Outland 75/75Northrend 75/75Cataclysm 75/75Pandaren 75/75Draenor 100/100Legion 100/100AndKult Tiras and Zandalar 0/150If you take a new profession than all the old ones will be 0/300, 0/75 etc and you can start crafting straight to Kult Tiras and Zandalar and doesn't have to go through the old world stuff. If one day you decide to collect the Pandaren recepies you can go back and level it up, but that's a different story and not mandatory. This way everyone starts from the same level at new expansion launch date and you can jump on any profession.
Darn blizz and their removal of a fun RP proff
Professions never change, perc. Remember that.
I wonder how gathering skills will be affected by this. Will I be able to gather Cobalt Ore right away, or will I still get Cobalt Ore Nuggets until a certain level?Edit:I tested on the Beta, copied my Miner at skill level 221. Took the portal to Pandaria and mined the first node I found, got 6xGhost Iron Ore and not Ghost Iron Nugget. I did *not* get a skill point in Mining. Checked my professions, I only have Classic Mining and Legion Mining learned, Classic at 221/300 and Legion at 1/100. Learned Pandaria Mining (which is ONLY available from the trainer in Pandaria) and the first Ghost Iron node I found gave me a skill point in Pandaria Mining (and 4xGhost Iron Ore). So it looks like ore/herb/leather fragments are gone finally!
Is the leveling of the remaining secondary professions separated by xpac as well?
"In the past few expansions, Blizzard has tried to experiment with profession catch-up mechanisms to aid players so they do not have to grind through hundreds of skill ranks just to craft expansion-appropriate recipes. With this new system, now players can focus on leveling professions for a certain expansion."no..you have not. you have been all over the place making unwanted changes that do not benefit professions whatsoever and poorly affect gameplay.warlords - removal of profession perks, removal of most gem slots, removal of belt buckles. removal of most enchant slots. the strange decision to restrict most enchants to a certain ilvl (which direclty effects players wishing to do old content that requires certain things)legion - removal of most beneficial glyphs, no weapon enchants whatsoever, a glitched out profession levelling system that had most ppl stuck at 700 and was never fixed! (nor was the 150g it costs to fix it yourself ever reimbursed to the player..its 150g for crying out loud..coome on) old profession items (sky golem, many pets and other mounts, the reborn weapons) that take a month to make (and only one can be worked on at a time) were given no support for continued produciton with the inflation of the economy. 60k for a skygolem? lmfao!professions now gated behind raiding and dungeon content..not everyone wants to participate in this. the "mass milling" system in warlords, was not continued.no bonus skill points for creating any legion recipe..leaving most ppl stuck leveling there professions in their garrison..the irrelevance of bags, drums of fury, potions and many other items (the warlords counterparts are better if not the same.)no new weapons to craftcrafted legendary gear that was beyond terrible except in wpvp situationswhat was goodspirit cauldrons (which you couldn't make anyways cuz couldn't get alchemy to 800 due to glitch blizzard never fixed)vantus runes (never seen ppl use them..but okay)new pets and mountsboot anchors (which for some reason actually proved useful)profesion quests tomes of illusionBattle for azerothwhat was good - removal of first aid as a profession (will be welcomed in tailoring and alchemy)what needs to changecontinued support for bonus point systembelt buckles, gear customization need to come backif someone wants to put defeat viciduous they shouldn't have to carry a second weapon on them in their bag just to use elemental force ..ridiculous like seriously. lame.new bags ..or will this be the 3rd expansiion we are stuck crafting hexweave bags because cheaper and faster.new updated engineering gadgetsnew updated drumsalchemy potions that don't provide stat increases with little to no difference from the same potions the previous expansion.INCORPORATION OF ALL GATHERING PROFESSIONS INTO ONE PROFESSION CALLED GATHERING..THEY ARE DONG THIS ANYWAY WITH THE BOON ENCHANTS SO WHY NOT. mining, skinning, cloth gathering, food gathering, herbalism, all as one professoincontinued perks to archaelogy to make it actually viable. (they have done good on this since warlords tbh)account bound reputation needs to be continued (legion did good with this allowing all tokens to be account bound once one character gets exlated), however, the old content (pre pandaria) needs to be effected by this. there are many profession items that you can only get exalted (mostly gear plans). you should not have to get 70 reps exalted on 6 toons to benefit from this. a lot of the said reps are a pain in the butt to grind out also. on top of this..how many moonwells are in broken isles? and yet..not one of them can be used to craft moon cloth? yes, ppl care about mooncloth still..especially priests who want the mog. if it says "requires moonwell" then it should work at any moonwell in game. when you craft an item, you should learn that appearence for yourself. but only if crafted, regular boe gear no. updates to the profession ui would be great.. you should be able to search for items based on whether you learned the appearence.some changes to older items that are notorious for how long it takes to farm the matts. (similar to what they did with enchanting)this is azeroth..it is reasonable to think that plants grow in more than just one place right? same with minerals. mobs that drop certain things in outlands, should also drp the same things in kultiras..you see a sporebat it drops mote of magic..and so does this sporebat on draenor. if its of the same mob type, it should drop the same items, regardless of where it is located and what level it is. or at least have a chance to.and please..on an unrelated noteplease no more "sisters of the" , no more demon raids, no more just no more..please make raid content that is origional. you have been using the same boss skins, same boss mechanics since throne of thunder. we have fought the burning legion for 5 yeras..enough! i am assuming, story wise, that bfa will be the final expansion. (they will not be making another dragon expansion because the last one failed so infinite flight will probably be a patch) so..blizzard, go out with a bang okay. no more nonsense. your player base basically consists of a bunch of 2 year olds who cannot follow simple instructions and sit around all day trolling ppl. its time you return to your roots and do what is right..
I don't understand how it works if I start a new profession with a skill 1 and then I proceed in making for example 349 skillups from the mats in the BfA. Do I end up getting 300 Classic skill and 50 Burning Crusade skill, or 150 BfA skill and 200 Classic skill, or 150 BfA skill and no other skill?Depending on what high end recipes you want to use, it may get even harder now than it used to.
God damn, Gunsotsu, that was a lot of words to type for missing the point.
The only thing I am concerned about is that you might no longer be able to use the WoD-professions to power-level. Now you'll probably have to level classic blacksmithing by buying thorium bars, bc with khorium bars and so on. So for completionists it might get even more difficult.
