It'd be interesting to get a response from them on whether they're going to provide race changes for Allied Races unlocked mid-expansion. If they don't, it's not so much a feature, more just a way for them to sell race changes.
Omfg, m+ should feel like a raid. Do they even know there own game, in raid you switch gear per boss in some scenarios but never for trash. The high end m+ players switch for everything trash and boss per boss bases
I dig the responses and maturity of the original poster and the dev team. Thank you guys for giving us great information. This will provide us an opportunity to watch and adapt as we get closer to the new horizon.
It'd be much more accurate to view a dungeon as a mini 5 man raid, not 1 encounter. How is an entire "instance" now just 1 encounter? The two terms have different meanings and always have in the game. Now we're just changing the entire meaning of dungeons because... ? Same reason given as last Q&A but with no ACTUAL reason given. Saying that an instance is really only an encounter isn't a reason, it's a misleading use of terms with no reason behind the change. If he said they were going to view M+ dungs as encounters INSTEAD of entire instances because they believed it would be healthier for MDI and other competitive levels of M+, then that would be a reason. Why aren't we given a real reason for such a drastic change to the competitive integrity of the system?
If our artifacts lose their power at pre patch does that mean we get the azerite necklace at pre patch aswell? Or do we just get a intermediate weapon to fill the void until we get our first one in BFA or even have to run with basicly a wooden stick until BFA?
I was looking forward to the new expansion. But the inability to switch gear makes me question whether I should even bother. And now the fact that you won't get Azerite gear from Mythic+ runs and only get a chance on one per week in the weekly chest is just killing the game for me. How is this better than the Legendary system? I cannot target specific Azerite pieces in the weekly chest so it is back to ridiculous RNG...
Of course blizzard is happy with the 7.3 .5 leveling experience. I mean after all they care about is making more money off of selling level one tens and eventually 120 characters.
A better analogy for the no-gear-swaps change for Mythic+ dungeons would be Blizzard’s Diablo III “Greater Rifts”. In those, too, you can’t swap gear (or talents/spells, paragon points). Once you’ve started a run: that’s it. It adds a bit to the challenge (while also simplifying what you have to worry about when in a run—never having to stop to wonder “which gear would be optimal for this particular fight in the run?”).
Couldnt agree more. Its even worse than initial leggo system. Now you have a chance once a week to drop specific version of a specific piece from specific dungeon that you actually need. Only once a week. And insted of this you will get some useless boots with stats you dont want. Blizz, defo sounds like you have learnt. Kappa
How the hell can you compare a m+ dungeon to a raid? There are a ton of differences, most importantly you get in and out of combat, allowing you not only to change gear, but to eat/drink,release, ressurrect people, mount up, etc.A raid encounter doesnt last 30-50 minutes long (I don't even know if we ever had a 3 lust raid boss, maybe Illidan?).Saying that you need specific macro/addon to efficiently gear swap is nothing, but a huge #$%^ing lie. The basic blizzard wow ui lets you do that. This system only lowers the highest possible key levels, which is just simply taking away content. Progressing through 20 levels feels less, than 30, even if the difficulty is relatively the same.
The Battle for Lordaeron scenario will be available to players who have purchased BFA a week before Battle for Azeroth launches. No thank you blizz.I prefer to get 180k xp at the start.
