Any non-subscribed account is already treated as a starter account with those restrictions in place. So all Blizzard did was update the accounts to where they should be expansion wise for the game that was purchased and people are just now catching onto the starter account change that's been in place for well over two years...Comment by NeryssaI mean they are always free to play to lvl 20....

It still shows no sub though.Comment by heroic2k8Basically just updated old "WoW" clients to "WoD" if they weren't already.

You still need to sub to play, unless you stay as your starter account (max level 20, 10g pieces etc). There has been no significant changes.

Accounts I have that have characters over level 20+ are "Sub to play" required.
