ok cool and all, but when do we get balance druid kul tiran forms
indeed who cares about hardcore players talking about numbers... KUL TIRAN DRUID FORMS BABY!
Almost no changes for brewmaster, i like it, it was really hard to get used to the new brm when they changed it from wod, just some number fixes and removing some effects will not change much
Well, I wanted to change from WW Monk to something other than that, because new expansion you know. But seeing these awesome changes does make it hard for me ^-^
I saw the change to Soothing Mist and got suuuper excited, but with the 1.5sec GCD and SM only lasting for 8 seconds (probably reduced by Haste again), that leaves little space for casts...I get the idea behind it, that it's supposed to be a spell and not a 'brain afk'-button you press once and then turn off for 20 seconds, but I'm a bit worried about it right now. Also, Paralysis nerf.. </3The whole trade-off of this ability is that it's short ranged and the mana expended can be crucial for a healer. That spell felt so fun, I hope they at least change it to like 30-45 seconds...
As always, very poor spell checking and QC. The article is literally brimming with mistakes and typos.
Hmm can we dispense with the whole "credentials" part of the post, I think telling us your name in game is more than sufficient to convey an introduction for. I see once again wowhead decided to pull from community discords rather than other methods. I have nothing against elite players or hardcore players or even theorycrafters. My issue is with the lack of variety in these post. I'd like to hear opinions from a wide range of players be they vet and hardcore or new and casual players because trust me those opinions are very different and they are great to read, this mess is the same boring crap from the same type of players >.>That being said I'm not a hardcore player, I enjoy playing monk for the class fantasy perspective. I admit they were OP as hell in MoP but honestly the part I enjoyed for them over most other classes was actively doing things all the time. When WoD dropped, WW became this turtle slow rotation. It was all about dealing higher damage with less button mashing which is ok I guess for some people but not I. In Legion though they went one step further to limit this play style by adding the mastery which forces you to push a new button every time that uses a different ability so suddenly you are SCKing on a single target for no damn reeason other then to not lose your damage increase, so crazy. I was really hoping they relaxed the play sytles a bit to allow variety but it appears they are carbon copying WW core abilities. I mean why even bother having chicken and energy anyway. Core abilities use chi and special abilities use energy where used to it was a mix of the two so you could aoe using energy and save your chi for single target allowing use of aoe immediately instead of needing to single target to build chi for air, it's a hot mess. Now energy is only being used to build chi and honestly I hate that system I'd like to see SCK moved back to energy, keep chi to the single target/core abilities and get rid of that horrible mastery aspect of the class I swear legion turned me off the monk so fast regardless of DPS it just wasn't fun to play anymore.
Transcendence on a 45sec CD. Is this being compensated with another defensive? Doesn't look good for PvP, again.
Legion's Windwalker is by far my favorite version of the spec, or any spec, ever in the game. Mistweaver felt decent in PvP but bad in PvE. It looks like Monks will in general will stay at the top in BfA.
Wonder if Brewmasters will continue to use their weapons over the shoulder?
I was hoping they'd reintroduce Dizzying Haze in BFA, as removing it in legion very much ruined the fun of the spec IMO. Though on forums from the aftermath of legion release, and now with the introduction of BFA, I don't see any rant on it not returning. Am I alone in thinking Dizzying Haze was a cool aspect to the spec? why are no one talking about this >.>
Windwalker remains slow? Like that, BFA monks have lost me. The whole fun of Windwalker in MoP was that they're quick, punchy (no pun intended) combo masters that felt like you were whaling on someone in Street Fighter--they even name-checked SF at the MoP reveal in Blizzcon as an influence on Monk DPS design! If I want a slow, measured DPS spec I can play Arms or Ret; a DPS Monk should feel more like Ip Man where you're constantly in motion, flowing from blow to blow and pummeling your enemies into the floor. Not like an MMA undercard fight where they spend half the fight touching hands and circling one another.Highly disappointed to hear that Blizz is continuing with a slow, boring play style for a spec that's all about flowing motion and whose primary cooldown is a shout out right from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
I really would like the Blessings of Yu'lon to become part of Revival. If not, at least make the projection of Yu'lon part of the animation for the spell, it looks so good. And would be a waste to lose it after one expansion.
Windwalker and Mistweaver are in really good spots, but Brewmaster feels like a mess to me. I don't understand how anyone can find it satisfying doing such a spammy rotation, with worse survivability than a solo Windwalker.
What about the fact of everything being shoved into one talent tier? You can't take anything except the utility, so why shove everything good into one area? I'm tired of missing out on things since it's always in one spot.
Loved Dhaubbs input on MW, I feel the same way, early in Legion I actually really enjoyed the playstyle because it was unique and different, but as the expansion went on I started to notice negative synergy in many of the spells and it really annoys me now. It's not like MW is not playable or not able to perform it's just that it feels bad when spells don't work nicely together.I'm excited to see changes being made, the soothing mist one is very welcomed as it was pretty useless in legion (I don't wanna just sit and afk channel it for almost no healing, much rather help DPSing or do something else if that's the case).Hopefully we will also see a Mastery rework soon.
