I was really looking forward for this post! Thank you all for sharing your thoughts, I think it is really important to let WoW community know what the theorycrafters of each spec think of the changes. I am excited to play retribution in BfA. Crusade is a very punishing talent if you don't plan ahead, and it is also boring to wait until it comes off cooldown. Talents did not really have alternatives, I can say that throughout the entire expansion there are at least 5 talents that I havent used a single time.Changes are appreciated, looking forward to see the balance iterations.
Wowhead, why have you not asked the opinion of the widely-known to be the best ret player of all time, the human incarnation of ji-kun, the REEEEEEEEEE itself personified?
"I make sims" is not playing the gameIs. Sxxx. Fun. That is a real question, Sims are just accounting.
"as other classes artifact ability's"abilities

Not a big surprise that only a few of them talked about the biggest issue for paladins: MOBILITY
Maybe that will be rude what i'll say right now but i got a feeling i have to say it. Can you really stop with all of those crying series of posts called "State of XXX". Guys. We all know we're going to lose a lot of our powers. Traits, legendaries, weapon, we're ALL going to lose it. you forgot about few things:- Still not every Heart of Azeroth trait is released- Another classes are going to lose a lot of their power as well- You used to play without all of that in previous expansionsAdapt to the changes. Battle for Azeroth is not a Legion, and our characters will have less power than we have now, due to the fact we're going to wield "Normal" weapon, not mighty artifact.
Some random thoughts on Ret:If we're losing Divine Intervention, it would be really nice to have Divine Shield removed from the GCD. I have died soooo many times while smashing my bubble button because there was a GCD in progress and I was dead before it was done :(Divine Steed should be baseline 2 charges with a 45 second cooldown. Ret mobility is a joke today if you don't have Cavalier, and it will be even worse in BFA as it stands.Give us back Righteous Fury.Make Hammer of Wrath great again!
#REMOVE RETRIBUTION PASSIVE
Seem like Zeal and Blade of Wrath would have potential synergy.Could they take Divine Steed off the GCD and give some way of actively lowing its CD, like taking damage or Judging a target. Or maybe make it similar to like Ghost Wolf Travel Form but with a cost of some kind, like mana.(personally I just want Falling Sword from D3 Crusader)On a small note, it would be nice if all races got a different looks for Guardian of Ancient Kings
Take away holy power for rets it wasn't needed to begin with and it's still not needed now.
Sounds like good news for Prot Paladins so far. Every other class seems to scale up damage mitigation with strength. As a result you get tanks that are pulling crazy high dps numbers, huge threat, and can survive just as easily as Paladins. However, the Paladins suffer from lower single target dps numbers because to increase their mitigation, they are expected to pool everything into stamina and haste. Paladins are still killing it on multi target dps numbers, but there aren't typically multiple targets for raid bosses. Eonar, Portal Keeper, and Council have some adds to pick up, but that's about it and Eonar is a stretch.
I think at first I initially was looking forward to these community opinion articles eapecially since wowhead has seen to include multiple viewpoints on each spec instead of just one individual; however, there is no variance here in opinions. It appears as if you jumped on the discord for each class, scooped up any willing theory crafters (since they tend to be the most vocal on future changes) and asked them to give an opinion. I would have loved to have seen a wide range of player types providing their insights not just the elite players or the theory crafters. Sure these top players have some credibility and I respect that but it would have been nice to include some average joes in the discussion as well, players who may or may not have been playing long but have dedicated themselves to the class regardless of play time. This one isn't as bad as the Shaman one was though and I have to admit that, but geez some of these class reviews come across as only the best of the best offering opinions and hey 1 of them is great and all because of experience but when you get 3-4 of them commenting lol they are basically saying the same dang thing over and over. We don't need validation of their viewpoints by another top player, I was looking for variety in opinions perhaps some that even conflicted with another's view point to allow me to draw my own conclusions and possibly add to the discussion. This feels more like a powerpoint lecture than a round table type of discussion where the readers can comment and add to or counter the article's views.
