raider.io needs to go away
Raider.io is cancer to the WoW community.
Raider.io is cancer to the WoW community.\r\rIts an excellent tool to gauge players quickly. Its not perfect, but its better than having nothing. \r\rWhen everyone is 960+ ilvl, there needs to be some way to quickly evaluate whether a player is capable of whatever run you're currently putting together. Not everyone is capable of running a 22 in time, and being able to quickly look at a player and not waste time is an excellent tool.\r\rIf you think its terrible, consider forming your own group and increasing your score. Its much easier to raise your M+ score with Blizzard's change to the leaderboards (500 slots, vs 100). Once you put the time in, you'll understand why other players value it so highly.

Raider is good ofc, but sometimes is making me really angry. I myself just doing for weekly or ig have time try push some. And the worst part then you get in team people with better score then you and they %^&*.
Raider.io is a blight on what was once a fun and sharing community. \rThey have single handedly created a whole new breed of elitist jerks. \rI should be able to opt out of my game stats being tracked and it annoys me that I can\u2019t. \r\rFor the record my raider.io score is high enough to almost always be selected for a 15 or 16 but I hate that it even exists in the first place.
Raider.io is cancer to the WoW community.\r\rIt is needed...\rEven for low keys.\r\rTrue story : When you apply in a group in +8 where DDs are 930 and don't even do 500k dps and you lose 1 hour of your time because those guys fails and don't know affixes...\r\rThe sadest ?\rThere is a LOT of group like this...\r\r"Come on maybe they are news players"\r\rIt's not hard to learn 30sec about affixes while forming the group...\r\rBut a lot of people don't do it.\rA lot of people don't deserve to be bring into a run (+2 or +15 it's the same) for potentially losing time to 4 others people...

I don't have a huge score (think my highest character has 1700), but I can clear 15s easily with +3, but I've invited people with the same score I have to some of my keys, even +10\/11\/12\/13\/14 and then fail the keys, as they do not know affixes, do terrible DPS, and all kinds of other nonsense.\r\rI do know some people do abuse it (saw somebody with a +5 key yesterday set his iL prefs to 950+ and 2k score), but in the end, that's just their problem. I also do get declined to some of the higher keys (even +15s, eventhough I have quite a few +15s completed in time), but as mentioned in another comment, since the change on Bliz leaderboards to TOP500, it's much easier to get a score, and the scores make much more sense.\r\rRaider.IO is NOT the problem...as always, it is (unfortunately) the community...at least, that's my opinion...\r\rBest is to find a good group (whether it be guildies of some RL friends), and improve as a group. Much easier to get it done :)
lmao, its the same story every xpac, either radier IO or armory or gearscore or recount, or skada, or wow heroes, or whatever is the current fad for attempting to rate a players ability to play the game. There are elitists who expect to be able to faceroll every instance, there are the idiots who expect to be carried and then there is the entire rest of the community who is just trying to have fun. RaiderIO is still highly imperfect. Simply because blizz is biasing scores towards low pop realms. If you're on a high pop realm, chances of getting a top 500 score are drastically reduced versus getting a top 500 on an RP or low pop realm. My raiderIO score sucks, and i know it, but I also am not trying to que for +15's, I can manage anything around +8-+10 depending on the affixes and the instance. there are a few I know not to ever que for and there are some like NL that a team of zero's could faceroll at a +5... anyone who bases their entire game play decision on rating systems or numbers, probably isn't having very much fun PLAYING the game anyway... Sure I could drop 150K gold and buy a carry in a +15 to boost my score, but I would know that its an artificial score and how many of you have taken high scored raiderIO players only to find out within the first couple of pulls that they basically bought a bunch of +15 carries, and have no idea how to actually run the instance? There's ways around every system and as long as the systems are in place, people will QQ about them, and others will find ways around them and others will tolerate them as a part of the game...
Glad to know I am not the only one who isn't too fond of being a follow the other sheep. The only thing I like about raider io is that it sorts out a good portion of the uber tryhards that aren't fun to play with anyways. You win some. You lose some. You have fun. We have friends and guilds for a reason :)
gearscore was fine.
I agree with Jimbobaus, we should be untrackable by default, and opt to be tracked...
Raider i.o. is the substitute for an in-game rating that Blizz needs to implement. If you do higher keys then you would know how crucial knowledge of the dungeon is. That rating is more important than biased opinions derived from being declined to group.

That rating is more important than biased opinions derived from being declined to group.\r\rYes Blizzard probably should incorporate some iteration of determining whether or not said player has the potential to clear a high level mythic key or not. You don't HAVE to do higher mythic keys to know how crucial knowledge of a dungeon is, but it certainly can help. That rating is far less important than you seem to think. Many people do a mythic 15 just for the chest at the end of the week. There are outliers, but most people that do mythic 16+ are probably doing it with roughly the same group and thus don't actually need said rating-they know what they can and can't do already.\r\rIn my opinion, if somebody absolutely needs an add on to tell you if your group can do the high level mythic dungeon; then you're playing the game wrong. Even some of the WoW loading screen tips state this in a different way while telling you how to be more efficient. Add ons are there to help you; not do everything for you.\r\rLastly, I tend to agree with jimbobaus: Raider.io is a blight on what was once a fun and sharing community.
I was going to write about Raider.io, but after viewing your Raider.io score (yes, I am checking your Raider.io score), I don't think you are entitled to view my writings.
