Well thank goodness for that. Guess I can stop funneling Nightfallen and Highmountain rep tokens to my new 110 Belf DH!
Hey there,We've seen a few questions about how the datamined 'already have a level 110 on this server to create a race' requirement fits into the unlock requirements. It shouldn't affect the unlock requirements, so I wrote a bit explaining it:
I don't understand the confusion or frustration over what Blizz is doing here. These four races look to be available long before the BfA pre-patch which is why they are likely a pre-purchase bonus and require Exalted with a Legion rep. It's a carrot to keep some ppl going until BfA launches. Remember that Legion pre-purchase was open for almost a year before the expansion dropped (I'm pretty sure they opened it up right after the Legion panel at BlizzCon '15.) With all of the catch-up mechanics we've seen over the years it's also reasonable to assume that the Exalted rep requirement will be dropped around the time of BfA launching because it doesn't make sense to have people playing your last expansion instead of the new one. So if you hate building up rep? Just wait. That's how these things work. Put in the work and grind to get the shiny new stuff first; or sit back and wait until it's easier to achieve but realize you have to wait.
Why argussian reach for void elves? Cause there isnt a better rep to tie them to?Isnt argussian reach a broken dranei faction?
I just started playing again in September after not playing for almost a year, and I've hit Exalted with almost all of the Legion factions already. The only grinding I did was when I first came back & that was to get Flying unlocked. If I, a filthy casual, can do it then there is no need for all this griping and moaning.I'm looking forward to Blizz announcing the pre-order so I can get my Void Elf Mage going, and race-change my Dranei Pally to Lightforged
The annoyance here is they've NEVER stuck a Race or Class behind a bloody Reputation wall before. EVER. And NOW they're trying this bull? Yea.. Kinda idiotic. Draenei and Blood Elves didn't require any type of Reputation. Worgen and Goblins didn't.. Pandaren didn't. Nor have ANY of the classes required anything besides a level Req which made sense because they were starting at a higher than normal level. And NOW they're sticking one of the MAIN selling points of an Expansion behind an idiotic Reputation wall. Legion was all about grinding 24/7. Now they're forcing it on a main selling point of a new expansion.. This is classic Blizzard trying to ween more play time out of players so they can appease their bloody Activision overlords. Add to this they're forcing you to have a bloody 110 on the server you want to create a level 20 Toon on.. I mean, what? How does this make ANY sense whatsoever? So if I wanted to start over on a new server with friends first we have to go through all the Stories AND Rep grinding and THEN level up a toon on another server to 110 or pay out $60 for a bloody character boost.. Then I get to level the character I want to level. -.- I think I'm gonna give BfA a pass at this rate. Probably most other expansions as well if they plan on this being their new way of doing things. =/
This is good. I main alliance and got the rep and achievements but I thought I’d need to get them on horde. I had a character high enough to make a horde demon hunter to get it knocked out. While I’ve been able to get a high number of highmountain insignias and emissaries it feels like there hasn’t been any nighfallen emissaries in the couple of weeks since I made it. Was waiting for the darkmoon faire rep bonus to do suramar quests to maximize the rep gain.
considering anyone who's been keeping up with content on Legion will have every requirement met already, I doubt there is much of a need for the banners to track progress. Unless there are more requirements that have yet to be implemented (and for people who HAVEN'T been keeping up with content or are new in BfA, there's a built in tracker called a rep bar :p)
really doesn't take that long, most of us have it if you play at all
