I just want to know more about the Zandalari, Blizzard please!
My guess is that the four races will be playable sometime earlier as a preorder bonus, and the Zandalari, and Dark Irons will be playable much closer to the launch, if not only upun launching.
I just want to know more about the Zandalari, Blizzard please!\r\rConsidering they already said that the Zandalari and Dark Irons are being released once we complete Zandalar and Kul Tiras...
Uggh. If they are going to require BfA to play, which I can understand, I hope they aren't released for pre-purchasers before BfA. It's unfair to physical collector's edition buyers.\r\rHell, maybe if they sold a separate key to unlock the races but not BfA for five or ten dollars that'd be okay.
I thought they sent out codes or flagged your account last time when people bought physical copies.......i could be wrong, though. Goldfish memory, etc
I sincerely hope Blizzard just puts an expansion purchase as the only prerequisite for the allied races. That and the storylines attached.I hope there's no rep grinding.
Would be nice to know if we can unlock the opposite faction allied race if we play one faction exclusively
I just want to know more about the Zandalari, Blizzard please!\r\rhang in there man, zandalari and the dark irons will come later so it makes sense there's no info about them in the patch yet. But soooooon we can go hang out with the aztec-looking trolls woo\r\rI sincerely hope Blizzard just puts an expansion purchase as the only prerequisite for the allied races. That and the storylines attached.\rI hope there's no rep grinding.\r Now, I can't say for certain obviously but I am very confident there won't be rep grinding. Think about it, new players join in on the expansion...and the races would be locked behind old content? No, that would never work from both a game-play or marketing stand point. My guess the only requirement (other than owning the expansion, of course) is doing the new lore quests\/scenarios that will be added
Same. I\u2019m exalted with the Nightfallen on my Alliance main but luckily I had a 110 Horde Hunter. I finished the story and all the quests but I\u2019m only revered.
I thought they sent out codes or flagged your account last time when people bought physical copies.......i could be wrong, though. Goldfish memory, etc\r\rBlizzard has not done this in the past, but they definitely should!

I want my Zandalari paladin dammit!

Goldfish memory, etc\r\rBlizzard has not done this in the past, but they definitely should!\r\rThe problem is some a-holes ruin it for everyone by buying proof of purchase, getting the key attached to their account, then refunding\/cancelling their pre-order while keeping the bonuses.\r\rThe simplest solution is for Blizzard to sell their own physical copy pre-orders but that's unfortunately very unlikely.
I've gotta hand it to them, releasing these new races after pre-purchasing BFA is going to draw in and maintain a lot of subscribers. From the standpoint of just wanting to see the WoW player-base remain at a healthy level, this can only be a good thing for the remainder of the Legion Expansion. These are practically angelic business practices compared to the kinds of things EA and other developers are doing.
The idea I got was you needed to quest in BfA to unlock the races - no-one will have them prior to release. From what we can see here, it doesn't look like there will be reputation component - just completing a certain quest.

Even though they unlock later people still want info on them and the dwarves.
I don't care about these races. Just give me my Dark Irons!

From what we can see here, it doesn't look like there will be reputation component - just completing a certain quest.\r\rZandalari and Dark Iron are the only that that have specific BfA content to unlock them, the other four could be done in-game with current content if they pushed the quests live. You don't go to Zandalar or Kul Tiras to unlock them. That's why a lot of people are suspecting these four will be pre-order bonuses; they are really putting a lot of their info in the patch files, and we basically know their quest chains take place in currently available locations.\r\rIt's also a bit soon to assume there's no reputation requirement. I think the devs said there would be some, and there not being rep mentioned here doesn't mean much; it says we have to complete the "quest" to unlock it, but that quest itself could include a "Get to Exalted with X" part either as an objective or a requirement to pick it up.

It's amazing to me that people seem to think these things are already completed and polished, and that information is released based on the whims of the few fans who are only interested in very specific pieces of content..... Just because 4 of the races are nearing completion, and being prepped for release, does not mean that the other 2 are as well.Additionally, from a story stand point, it makes no sense whatsoever to release Zandalari and Dark Iron as playable races at this point in the game. However, Nightborne, Void Elves, Lightforged Draenei, and Highmountain Tauren, it makes perfect sense. Have you guys been paying attention to what is been happening in game as of late? Do you see Zandalari and Dark Iron Dwarves in the live story right now? No? What about the other 4 races? And FWIW, this response isn't necessarily directed at one person, but the many other posters who have no concept of the things they are attempting to have a conversation about. I don't find your opinions and preferences to be irritating, just your complete lack of concept for a narrative that makes sense, and selfish ideas that everything must orbit around your narrow and uninspired way of thinking. Damn I'm saltier than I realized over this.....
Masquerade seems... useless.\r\rI was hoping it would let you take the appearance of any player maybe !@#$ing with your enemies a bit.\rOr even cooler have it be like a TF2 Spy when they take the appearance of enemies and appear green to the other side but you can still be attacked which would dispel it.

Think about it this way though, after all of the memes about Nightborne saying "Something is not quite right....." and "What are you hiding!" it would have been criminal if Blizzard released the Nightborne race and did not incorporate "Masquerade" and "Dispel Illusions" as part of the Nightborne experience.
