As we learned
earlier this week
, with the fall of Argus, Sargeras stuck his monstrous sword in Azeroth, more precisely in Silithus. While, for characters that have already killed Argus in any difficulty, Silithus is mostly red and empty, this has changed on 7.3.5 PTR and the healing process seems to have begun, which has awaken new powers in the zone, sprouting the first Azerite nodes.
Learn more about 7.3.5 in the
Patch 7.3.5 Content Hub
.
The effort to heal Azeroth and to collect Azerite has begun in Silithus, now a level 110 zone. Both Horde and Alliance have camps set up, with Khadgar present on both! The ground of Silithus has changed, from red on live, to a more yellow-orange color on PTR, maybe a sign of healing on the wound. Sargeras' Sword still seem stuck in the ground, but doesn't currently have a model on PTR.

I am a bit disappointed because ever since the end of the Wrath expansion - with a modest exception for Pandaria - there's been a reliance on recolors and rehashes of old content in the form of MOBs and even the environment. We haven't really seen much in the way of entirely new zones or creatures in 7 years. This is not to say that think we should have more "undiscovered" continents on Azeroth but rather that the extraordinary artistic invention that gave us Ulduar, Icecrown Citadel and may of the MOBs and creatures populating the world has greatly diminished. A good part of the greatness of WoW is the richness of its artwork and inventiveness of the creatures that populate the environment. It would be great to see more of those things rather than a rehash of old material.
The hell are you on about? Many post-Wrath zones have been at least as inventive, if not more so than most the zones WoTLK brought us. In Cataclysm alone we traveled into the Maelstrom to explore a new elemental plane, and we finally get to explore Mount Hyjal and see the Firelands spilling over. And even though most people don't like the zone thanks to underwater combat, Vashj'ir is easily one of the most unique and best looking zones they've ever added, and that's not even mentioning raids such as the Throne of Four Winds, or the Firelands. Granted, none of these really compare to Ulduar or ICC, but it seems unfair to completely dismiss other raids just because you don't consider them the best. And as far as enemies are concerned, Legion, without a doubt, includes the least amount of reskins and recolors of mobs to date. In this entire expansion, only 4-5 raid bosses don't have unique models, while in just Ulduar and ICC there's about 6 bosses without unique looks and models. Legion also added a ton of new demons, most with their own unique skeletons, and that's in addition to a lot of the other new creatures introduced, such as the Drogbar, Storm Dragons, and the Fal'dorei. Now sure we're reusing an old zone now, but it's necessary to advance the game's story, and helps work towards having an evolving world.
So TL;DR Blizzard isn't rehashing @#$% nearly as much as you seem to think.
