Why void elf? The Light is everyone's ally. The Light is both sides of the same coin. Light is good, Light is wise. Real heroes always walk and stand for the Holy Light without hesitation!
The thing that annoys me is while I doubt very much it would happen, it feels like there's more and more inference of another Cataclysm-style revamp to Azeroth, or at least a second copy we can choose to level in, with scaling and junk.Because a new race is one thing - maybe they start at a higher level or use scaling in a new continent to level - but if we get new subraces they would likely update the starting zones to reflect why there are Nightborne or Void Elves. And if we are getting new subraces for Draenei and Blood Elves in particular, they might finally update Quel'thalas and the Draenei isles to be flyable, add them to Actual Azeroth.
Well that's pretty interesting, wouldn't mind some sub races added or extra customization. While I'm all for Highmountain, Lightforged and Nightborne, I don't get Void Elf.High Elf, sure, but I think Alleria should remain the Void Elf cuz to me it seems like that would open up for having Void abilities for your class as well but that shouldn't from a race choice, except for maybe a racial ability.Just seems like a wierd choice. Will they constantly be in a void form or change over time? Just seems silly and like a change to overall elvenkind that would happen way too soon."Alleria learned how to handle the Void so well she can go into void form? Let's all suddenly do that!"Nah I say. Give High Elf with tattoes/face paint maybe but not full on Void Elf.Also seems slightly meh if only these sub races can use stuff like warpaint and all that. What if people want normal Tauren horns and warpaint? Also, meh if it turned out to be just those four. But understandable that it's a lot of work to add sub races to all at the same time.
Personally I think all this looks a little dubious. I guess we'll see.Still, though... Those silhouettes gives me hope for new hairstyles!
So... basically more elves? Oh goody... We certainly didnt already have ENOUGH OF THEM. /eye roll
If this is what we will get instead of new races, I'm gonna be incredibly disappointed.I cannot for the life of me understand why people want some $%^&ing tattoos and different shaped horns over a new race.
Void Elves are quite possibly the dumbest thing I've ever heard of. If this is actually a thing, it would just look stupid.
That's the fun/point of speculating! We only have a couple more weeks to do so, let us have our fun.

(New) Dragons led by the aspects (Blue & Green = Alliance, Red & Bronze = Horde)
I really like the idea of sub-races.If void elves will share blood elven models then I 100% gonna change my worgen for it!
Boo. More of the same. I was hoping for Naga for Horde, and a Wind Trader model for Alliance.
IF, and it's a pretty big if, this is all true, then I am sorely disappointed. For years and years, people have been asking for subraces for existing races. The fact that we might get Nighborne and 'Void Elves' instead of the ALREADY existing elf subraces, ones that have existed for years, have been requested for years, and have been established for so long, is more than a little infuriating for me.Don't get me wrong, I like the Nightborne, but they are a discount Blood Elf. Their entire arc is just a watered down version of what happened with the Quel'dorei/Sin'dorei, most of which sadly never got to be shown in-game. Proper Quel'dorei for the Alliance faction has been on the list of demands for such a long time. To get 'void elves' instead is a bit of a slap in the face, if this is actually a thing. At the end of the day, these new races feel more like one-night stands than the beloved factions we've already had dealings with. Dark Iron Dwarves, Quel'dorei, things like Naga or Centaur and many others. So I hope that these subraces aren't actually happening.
