I liked the drama. Gives insight into the nature of the Void and the Light.
I personally wish Blizzard would create a regular release of content like this to help players get the "context" of an expansion. I loved the MoP panda animation, I love in game cinematics. This audio book helps at that emotional tug (sorry no spoilers in my post). Why can't we get a regular episodic game-cinematic-based show... Blizz ya know ya wanna!

Still haven't heard all of it, but so far I have to say it's pretty good. Finally we get to learn what happened and how they ended up with the army of the light.
I love the whole warcraft universe. Reading the novels and the 2 chronicles was awesome! i also enjoyed all the audio stories they made. Also, the posters... holy pala cow, they are sweet!
Lovely way to explain backstory bits, gj blizz !And the posters, damn, they look awesome, everytime i look up in the skies, i enjoy seeing Argus up there, ready as if it's about to crush on us.
Rly like the audio drama and i hope to hear more of those <3Maybe some more Void-Stuff - that would be awesome
The art for the posters are amazing pieces of work in itself. As for the audio drama itself... Blizzard needs to do more things like this. The narration was amazing, and the voices of the characters themselves just made you feel so... immersed in it all.
This is great! This is such a lore rich expansion and I love how they have been including these supplements to fill in a lot of details, I know playing through the Argus storyline I was a little confused by their repeated mention of being gone 'a thousand years' when I'd known they had disappeared after Draenor's destruction. I love that they're really giving depth to both the Light and Shadow and even the Fel. We don't see it here, but during the Argus storyline in game you meet a few Legion demons that reference the Shadow and how their crusade is in part a fight against it. I'm actually curious where the Fel fits here, given they're building Light and Shadow as opposites of each other, so Fel is maybe the same side of the coin of the light only twisted? But either way, it's refreshing that they're not just going with straight up 'light good, shadow bad' and actually showing that yeah, the Light is generally good but its extremism can be bad, such as Xe'ra's cold, calculating nature, and that the Shadow isn't wholly evil. If this is setting up for more old god story in another expansion I'm all in, I liked the concept for Cata but the execution left something to be desired, if they can pull off what they're doing for Legion now for the Old Gods, I'd be totally for it!
The mp3 files linked in the article only contain the first 5:22 minutes each. :(
I loved to hear to this drama, also that we know what was going on since tbc. Most interesting is for me the thought how is time working in twisting nether, more about the void and shadow lore and I'm thinking that theres a simple sentence to say how are light and shadow irrlevant:"There is only might - and those who are afraid of taking them."
Listening to the audio drama made me really interested in the story of Alleria & Turalyon. Listening to this I learned there actually can't be the Shadow, without the Light. Hopefully the class rework is going to bring Shadow-hunter spec instead of Survival one. This would be awesome!
I really hate audiobooks so PDF it is for me, I really wish they'd release a compilation of all the PDF and short stories in an actual book so it goes with the rest of my collection. When it comes to the light and shadow it is more akin to yin and yang that one without the other will never work and that without a little of the opposite it will corrupt itself. That poster of Argus over Dalaran looks amazing
I liked the story for the most part, but I felt like there were some glaring holes. Shadowpriests have void form, and they're now specifically linked to the void/old gods. Has noone thought to ask them about that - it's all just magically new to Alleria? Hmm
I liked that they finally made full story of Alleria and Turalyon. Everyone was alwawys looking for them!
Those audio dramas are amazing. I've listened to "A Thousand Years of War" while flying back from England. It's so good to hear about Alleria, as she hasn't been much mentioned in WoW before Legion expansion.
That was heartbreaking! Understanding the 1000 year war and deeper understanding into the Old Gods was incredible. The exploration of Light and Shadow, brilliant. Don't want to spoil too much for others. Thank you Blizzard for keeping the Lore Train pumping at full speed. Truly inspiring work.
I really enjoyed this audio drama. It was nice to get some context on several of the Argus character's storylines.
Very much enjoyed the audiodrama! I'm digging the metastory that's being told with this expansion, how 'good/evil' and 'light/shadow' don't really map cleanly to each other. I wonder if we'll get to see input from other naaru other than xe'ra, it would be interesting to see if 'whether you do good is irrelevant, the only thing that matters is absolute obedience to what we tell you' is a concept that's shared among the naaru, or if xe'ra is just a real stickler.
I don't know a lot of lore about Turalyion and Alleria, and this really helped me.It's pretty cool seeing that lore is not just in the games/comics/books but in audio dramas.Nice job Blizzard!
