When looking for things to obliterate, don't forget that obliterating Rugged Skullblasters gives about 600 ash.
This is your best writeup yet! Thanks for putting all this information together in one place.
I wonder how much I have stored in my guild bank that's worth money. Me and 1 other guildie filled our guild's 7 tabs with stuff. He quit and left me the guild, and I've only ever used it as mat storage for alts. Hmm....

I don't understand the gathering addons, personally. I tried one back in Wrath and because every node spawn had the chance of being Titanium, and the amount of farming I did (I used to go out for 8-16 hours at a time to pay for Primordial Saronites) my map just got filled with Titanium that wasn't there. But, because I've been playing for such a long time, you just know where to go and how to farm massive quantities. I think taking the info on any one area from someone that farms massive amounts is more valuable than a gathering addon. I know the addon does virtually the same thing, but you have to learn how to use it. So its a bit of the same no matter how you look at it. I just prefer the old school way.For example, I do laps of Wintergrasp on my dual-gatherer (that would be the absolute number one tip I would give to anyone that likes to gather their own mats, put herbalism and mining on the one toon!), I ignore the herbs (just when I'm farming Wintergrasp) because they distract from the mining too much. You find a lot of Titanium. That, plus the Eternals (in order dearest to cheapest roughly); Fire/Water, Shadow, Earth, and to a lesser extent Air, sell incredibly well, or you can combine all of them and make Titansteel. Saronite still sells very well also, as it can be prospected for Monarch Topaz. I have sold those from anywhere between 600 and 2,900g. It can also be smelted and transmuted into Titanium bars.Another great spot, for MoP this time, is The Skyrange in Valley of the Four Winds. Start at the base of the rige, clean the ridge out flying North, clean out the Hozen camps to the East before flying back west, following the wall right round and heading South, crossing the valley just as you get to Krassarang Wilds, then back up to the base of the ridge at Skyrange.Make sure also you are carrying the appropriate picks to get gems from the nodes. If you want current materials, get Broken Isles flying and just hang out at the Broken Shore. You don't need a Sky Golem so don't fork out the cash if you don't want to. You are better off, particularly if you have a dual-gatherer, using the farming consumables available. Demonsteel Stirrups, Stonehide Leather Barding, Demonsteel Hoofplates, and some of the new Darkmoon Firewater that increases your gathering speed. Adding these effects to mining as well (as the Golem only takes care of Herbalism) the amount you can gather more than enough makes up for the cost of the consumables, even if you are buying them straight from the AH.Other profitable gathering materials I can think of that deserve a mention are The Burning Crusade ores, in particular, Khorium. The best method I've developed so far for Khorium is just farm between the Northwind and Southwind cleft Ogre caves in old Nagrand. By the time you farm out one cave, the nodes in the other have respawned. There is usually 2 nodes spawning at a time in each cave. Every so often it spawns as Khorium. Even though it could take two hours to get 6-10 bars, the amount of Adamantite farmed helps bridge the gap as far as gold per hour is concerned. Now, this is just all off the top of my head for now, but I have a heap more gathering tips ferreted away in my brain somewhere.Happy Farming.
