:O
Well this is cool. They did this before i could even complain!
THANK YOU!
First time in a long time Blizzard has actually done something with the player in mind since... forever....
That was... quick. I'm sure it would not have been an issue in the long run but it was still a poor design choice to have one of the invasions happen when basically no one could do it.
Awwww yiss half way to revered :D TY Blizz !
Why not just buff the time on them like for 12hrs instead of removing them entirely? Or even have them not pop up early morning when we are asleep? Jeez way to go Blizz....sigh.
Oh thank god. I got home today ready to do the invasion only to realize it was ending in 5 mins. I wasn't completely against the idea of waiting a few days extra than everyone to get this particular achievement (as we still have the Legionfall revered achieve to get).
Why not just buff the time on them like for 12hrs instead of removing them entirely? Or even have them not pop up early morning when we are asleep? Jeez way to go Blizz....sigh.\r\rCause it is always time to sleep for some players. For a long time, when I worked overnights, I didn't wake up til 9pm, and went to bed at 2pm. If they are on a 6hr window, one at "prime time" from say 4pm-10pm, would leave some people unable to get it still.\r\rThis overall solves the issue without causing problems for a portion of the playerbase that happen to work the less-than-appreciable hours.
I don't mind working for my achievements, but with all the work that's already gone into this one (Good Sumaritan alone was a nightmare) I don't feel remotely bad about having this removed. Not only for my sake, but for my husband whose work schedule made it impossible for him to do the invasion at the times they were popping up. We started this as a team and I want him to succeed too.\r\rI am very pleasantly surprised by the swift response.
the books for AP catch up dude, don't forget them
I mean, that's one way to fix a problem, but it's a stupid fix. It kills the main reason of even bothering to do those tedious quests.\r\rA better fix would have just to extend them to a 24 hour duration. They give zone-specific rep, they're just as simple and trivial as the world quests they overtake, and they're better than the trashy ones like collecting 50 of whatever item, or getting 1% per kill in cleansing the nightmare. Killing a bunch of demons in 1-3 minute WQs for Legionfall-related items in place of AP and order resources feels a little useless, but for alts who need gear, this is a great way to help them get them. There's only 6~ quests at a time it seems, so it's not like you'd get full 880+ gear in one day. It's about 2-3 pieces of Dauntless gear, which isn't bad nor overpowered. Having them active all day is perfect, and would've been a much more lucrative change. This just makes the content less interesting, and there's probably a bunch of folks who will ignore the quests since the gear isn't that good for them (Myself included, I outgear the rewards sadly). There's just no drive to do new content when the new content isn't valuable to you, you know? I already said to my friends that I was only going to do what was needed for the achievement, but now that I won't need it, it feels like there's no point (for me) to even consider them. Sure, the transmog weapons would be nice, but 12 invasions later (6 each day, so far), I've not even had one drop. \r\rI'm all for having stupid and tedious things removed (Looking at you, Galakras timer), but this just needed an extended duration.
When Legion Invasions on the Broken Isles was announced, I loved the idea. I really liked their implementation on Azeroth for the pre-launch event and expected them to be somewhat similar in 7.2. However when Blizzard revealed their activation pattern two hours before the first invasion was active via Twitter, I knew many players would be upset that they could miss an invasion and suddenly be at least three days behind everyone else from unlocking Legion Flying. I am surprised to see how fast this requirement for Legion Pathfinder: Part 2 was removed. Now all I have to do is grind Armies of Legionfall reputation and I can fly once more! (Only 6k rep to go!)
I missed yesterday's invasion but picked up today's. I thought it was pretty fun. Remember when you would blow $70 on a game and plug in your sega genesis, or super nintendo cartridge. If the game sucked or was unfair you had to eat it up and play anyway or go do something else. Interesting the kind of sway direct interfacing\/instant feedback with the game creators has. Not sure which is necessarily better, but it is definitely interesting.
This is such a relief for myself. Yesterday I was stuck in class for extended periods of time. Today, I was at the vet for 8 hours with a sick pupper, while the invasions were going on. I'm a completionist and all, but I could not have left my super sick baby girl alone. Here's to hoping her health is going to improve over the next few days so I can get some playtime in.
Sad to see Blizz caving again for something everyone would eventually have gotten, maybe just not the first day they hit revered like they wanted too. Funny how no flying was less hassle for Blizz than allowing flying. If flying causes this many problems if people can't get it the first minute they are able too maybe it shouldn't be in the game at all.
I didn't mind to much that it was as infrequent as it was but being on an oceanic server based in North America the assaults were dropping at like midnight and ending at 6am and there was never anyone online to do them, I have missed the first two myself due to this.
This is a good step but blizz how could you not foresee this was gonna happen though?\r\rAnyway i honestly dont know why blizz made us do a part 2 for the pathfinder achieve i mean anyone who has the patience to do the suramar questline deserves flying straight away and a free steak dinner from blizz!
another day, another downgrading on whats needed...
