Thanks for everyone’s reports so far. We’ve been able to use them to isolate a few more potential sources of motion sickness, and are currently working on sending out a small hotfix patch that will hopefully address at least some of them. We wanted to give a quick heads up on what we’re changing.

For starters, we were able to identify some potential issues with how flying mounts are behaving differently in patch 7.0.3 compared to 6.2.4 that we believe will help some players. Once this hotfix is live, flying mounts will no longer bank/lean to the sides when rotating in place, and the extent to which they lean when turning while in motion will be lowered back to how it was in patch 6.2.4. Additionally, we’re fixing an issue that was causing the camera to “pop” when landing or taking off on a flying mount.

We also identified and fixed some bugs that were causing some fairly extreme issues with the camera while the player is considered by the game to be in a “vehicle.” Because of how that tech is used, this includes several situations that might not obviously seem like you’re in a vehicle, such as the later parts of the Al’Akir encounter.

Finally, we received a surprising number of reports from players that indicated they had somehow unknowingly activated “Action Cam.” For those who are unfamiliar, Action Cam is an experimental alternate form of camera control that is currently unfinished and not quite ready for the general public. It had become available through a console command in the Legion beta, but since it doesn’t give any unfair gameplay advantages and (so we thought) had to be expressly activated by the player, we’d left it accessible through that command.

However, it has become clear that more than a few players have somehow turned it on without knowing, and it’s a major cause of motion sickness for those players. So, we’re going to disable it entirely for now, and plan to bring it back in a future patch once we’ve sorted out all the motion sickness issues and given it a little bit more polish.

These fixes will be active on the PTR and Beta realms for testing as soon as possible, and if all goes well, we plan to apply them to live realms on Monday, August 1. Once they’re live, please do continue to report areas of the game or activities in which you’re finding yourself feeling unwell. Videos in particular are extremely helpful, as they allow us to see exactly what the camera is doing at the time. We’re continuing to put our highest priority on resolving these issues and getting you back in the game without having to worry about motion sickness.

Group Loot Clarifications

Watcher

We used Group Loot again in our raid last night and it is really getting frustrating. We are consistently having people that arent able to roll need on something that they want because of the iLvl restrictions, everyone in the raid was able to roll need on the Conq Tier Tokens even if they werent Paladin, Priest, Warlock ....

No comment on the issue of iLvL restrictions preventing rolls? Or is that a working as intended with the intention being to really force PL on all situations and hope that altruism suddenly grows in the cesspit that is most of the playerbase?July 27th Hotfixes

Blizzard

ClassesHunter

Hunters are no longer able to capture/assault objectives in PvP while they have Aspect of the Turtle active.

Mage

Conjure Refreshment now has a 15-second cooldown.

Warlock

The Deathrattle Regalia 4-piece bonus for Demonology Warlocks now grants a 2% chance for your Wild Imps' Felfire Bolt to summon a demon (was 8%).

Dungeons and Raids

All bosses and some other mobs in the Wrath of the Lich King Timewalking dungeons have had their melee damage reduced by 30%.
The target average item level that players now scale to in Wrath of the Lich King Timewalking dungeons has been increased.
Grimrail Depot

Grimrail Technicians now correctly activate the Iron Stars after taking damage.

Pit of Saron

The ground visual for Icy Blast should once again match the actual radius of the effect.

Skyreach

The experience awarded for finishing Skyreach has been reduced to an amount that is similar to other Draenor dungeons.

Items

The Illustrious Guild Tabard and Renowned Guild Tabard should again provide an appropriate boost to guild reputation when equipped.
The following items were erroneously converted from mail to plate, and have now been converted back to mail, as they're intended to be used by mail classes:

Fiery Chain Girdle

NPCs

The missing auctioneers Shei'ann Younghoo and Shon Younghoof has been returned to Warspear.

PvP

Players are no longer immune to all damage when positioned in a Battleground graveyard that belongs to the opposing faction.
Fixed a bug that was preventing some players who earned the Warmongering Gladiator and Wild Gladiator titles from receiving their titles. GGWP.

Spells

Wandering Vindicator's Light of Truth healing debuff no longer remains active on players who leave Draenor.

He was given some powers by a new council of tirisfal(one that also included shamans, druids and other forms of magicians not included in the old council) to deal with the threat of Cho'gall trying to resurrect C'thun. He gave up that power after the battle was over, and was sent away to further his magic instruction. He is the character i have been waiting years for, even more than alleria and turalyon.

The change of the looting systems is idiotic. Taking away master loot from non-guild groups is really annoying. They removed need before greed completely, and put many of its restrictions(and added more) on group loot. As a druid, i could need on agi daggers in my SoO group, but it was considered off-spec, and i didnt even get a roll compared to a rogue. Thats a great system, but they should have made that into the old need before greed and left group loot alone.

The main thing i noticed in patch 7.0 is the removal of options. Changing the loot systems is one, we also cant decide on floating combat text like we could before(now its all or nothing), and a few other smaller things have removed options on how we play the game. Ive never bought into the idea before that blizz is dumbing down the game, but now its apparent that they are. We like complexity in the game. We like being able to play our way. Thats why we play a MMO in the first place, otherwise we would go play a MOBA, or some other game with less abilities available.

Of course, im under the opinion that blizz is trying to kill WoW without our knowledge by making the game as bad as possible so we all just quit. How else would you explain the WoD flying debacle, and 2 expacs in a row with massive ability purges?Comment by DonBossoWouldn't a fix to the motion sickness just be to put a box in the camera area of the interface that reverts it back to pre-pre patch camera. I will be patient for when it makes a return. I liked the potential for fun screenshots and really enjoyed the "actiony" melee combat. Ah well.

God damnit, I love Khadgar. Best character ever.Comment by r3venantI think they are doing well to develop Khadgar after his current position in the games has been somewhat disappointing compared to previous central characters. On another note, I wonder if the action cam would be good for porting the game over to console. Especially with the new pruning of abilities and things it makes the game more viable. Healing would still be a difficult task though.
