You never really cast Frostfire Bolt outside of Brain Freeze procs anyway, which will now cause Frozen Orb's cd to reset, so it's basically the same thing, only with a different spell--one that actually does aoe damage, giving us something other than a slightly different version of Frostbolt to put in our rotation instead. I will really miss the multistrike and the possibility to save icelance procs AND frostfirebolt procs to do huge tons of burst as i need it :\/. I don't really understand Blizzards comparison of multistrike with crit because i think multistrike comes along with some really nice features as "on hit" effects can do a lot better with multistrike (but sry wrong topic here).\r

I surely will continue to play a mage, because thats my nindo (little naruto in here^^) but it might put me in the situation to struggle finding my "new" favourite mage spec. And especially this struggle hits me hart, knowing that the artefact weapons are spec specific and need a lot of work to regrow for alt specs. Comment by FreeZeMaN55 As a mage, I'm really glad with these changes. I just hope that with the removal of major glyphs, ice lance can still cleave, maybe a artifact talent.
And if they really give you the option of 3 specs I'll definitely play all 3 =D

Well played. I always giggle a little like a freaking pyromaniac when I spread my Living Bombs and big Ignites all over my enemies and watch them burn and explode. But to be honest, I am a little sad about that combustion rework. I just prefer one big well-played FWOOOOOSH and spread it everywhere over ability to shoot few more boulders of fire at my enemy because of that Crit Chance. We will see how it will work out.

I personally don't agree with that opinion. In my opinion BrainFreeze procs with frostfirebolt just feel more epic and versatile because you can fire them at spread out different enemies and adds. In addition to that, the possibility to store Brain Freeze Procs for additional burst or just for short fights seem to be more useful in my opinion.\r

A cooldown reduction which triggers almost not noticed just does not feel as good as "real" spell procs to fire in the first way, but as long as there is not practical opportunity to see the specs rollin in the real game everything is just pur theory and numbers never do their work pretty well :P (damn numbers) Comment by Runaetus uff looks like mana is a thing again?
