I mean no offense, but with zero sentimental-value for non-Method guild members, who would buy that? They didn't ask us to mention it, I just thought it would be nice to add a little more interest to the article. That classical "whining" insult is old, so let me rephrase it otherwise and not for you zenghen, but perc\/wowhead staff and please take it as a constructive feedback which I hope you won't censor.\r

I've already mentioned it sometime before, that it seems unfounded to make a "news" post every single day just for the sake of making a post. New guides are good, Blizz announcements are good, updates and real news too, but otherwise it gets really confusing to pick out which info is signifacant if you don't visit this site regularly.\r

Additionally, with past examples of displayed-ad problems (virus alerts for some) and now seeing a third party cash item being promoted, no, this simply doesn't run with me, lest we see more and more outsiders advertising they money-grab stuff here. (As if Blizz store wasn't enough XD)\r

TL:DR - News should be news, not third party stuff or things already mentioned before\r

Sure, you can jump on me again "if you don't like it here, then go elsewhere, *hurr-durr*", ofcourse I could, but I like this site and I believe feedback like this also has a place here. Comment by perculia We discovered a flying area on the PTR to a previously blocked-off area, promoted a very popular video, and shared a new strategy guide. All of this is reasonable to cover as news. \r

The front page has bite-sized summaries of the content you'll find in each article, so you can easily scroll through the news. We also have featureboxes for the big news, and a sidebar highlighting Blizzard announcements and hotfixes. We started weekly posts for hotfixes so people wouldn't have to wonder if every daily post would have hotfixes buried in them or not.\r

There is no correlation between the advertisements, which our ad staff works on with our 3rd-party ad provider to improve (we do not select the ads, we can just ask for improvements), and us deciding to talk about a product related to current content. Blizzard Gear store updates are also very popular and keep growing in popularity--the 2015 SDCC Merch Video has 80k+ views, the 2014 video has 40k views, so it's something players care about as news. I'm fairly certain that most if not all of the ultra-hardcore raiders have other financial obligations like jobs and stuff. Not sure about Method specifically, but I know some of the other teams just take paid time off or figure out something else to do it.

It's a pretty sweet lookin' t-shirt, though. Comment by valbarr In effect blizzard have removed flying in any meaningful way, with the announcement of the next expansion, what exactly is the point of flying, which will be enabled once the content is old news. it wont be enabled in the next expansion, until that too is out of date content. so in essence they have removed flying. Comment by Cydrone The flying patch is coming before the next expansion, and regardless this whole debacle provided a compromise between the laissez-faire, skip-everything convenience players want, and the ground-restricted exploration\/immersion blizzard wants. \r
If the future bar for flying is set anything like it is now, completing basic content just once with an extra bit to make sure you hit 100 first, in theory you'd see it no later than past expansions.\r
The only reason it took so long now was because up until now they weren't planning on it. i loved in burning crusade how , you were ground bound, but once you got flying there were places you could only see from the ground, that now had content in them, and you could reach them. it was way cooler than what we have now.\r

make aerial combat, mounts could have a special power based on the type of mount that you could use in the sky, it would even make it so that having hundereds of different mounts actually meant something. yes it would be a lot of work, but they have virtually unlimited money, and every time they dont do stuff, they lose subscribers, and a lot of money in the process. just the thoughts that keep going thru me stupid ol head, sigh. Switching something off is an absolute form of regulation. It's gone, period.

But the points you bring up are more about content and the lack thereof, rather than flying being enabled late or at all.
To that point, I agree, there could be a lot more content and approaches to content that could be tried. Maybe Blizzard will try things out. Regarding the merits of enabling flying, though, I find the achievement-gating approach as it stands seems reasonable enough. The Method players with full time jobs are sacrificing their well earned vacation days to be able to raid when there is a progress race. \r

Method is bigger than just the raid team. They are a business, with eSports teams across multiple games. Merchandise sales is just a small part of it, which I guess is normal for any brand on the rise.\r

Personally I like that they are commemorating their win with a T-Shirt. Could you quote your source on that please? Comment by Slazwa If Method members use their freetime to play WoW that is their problem. They should actually get a life instead. And I agree with the first comment 100 percent!
