I wonder what happened with the personal rating the folks at Blizz were talking about a while ago. The rating for invidual players in Battlegrounds
add to 1v1 arena please :S
Added the VoD of the stream into the post until I get the YouTube upload done! It is set to not autoplay and to have start volume at 0, so if it's silent that's why. \r\rIf you're having problems with it autoplaying (because twitch can be a monster like that) let us know and we'll remove it.
Is there a TL;DR available for the most exciting news?
PVE gear belongs in PVE and PVP gear belongs in PVP. There's nothing wrong with making PVE gear weak in PVP, so I don't see how scaling down that gear in PVP is a bad thing. The PVE players can be upset their gear is garbage in PVP because that's the way it's supposed to be and it's sad Holinka doesn't see it that way.
@Wowhead: this video is autoloading on the main page of Wowhead which is annoying
Great Watch :) good info. \rAs to the pve argument.... maybe they should make it 580 instead of 90 making them a tad bit weaker but still to the point where if you have the skill, you can get it done. But this is my personal experience, thanks for the stream you 3.
Q: Is healing too strong in PvP, especially from Hybrid classes?\rA: I don't think it's a broad problem but certain specs and certain times are problematic. Also, things like blink and ice block aren't on the meters but they are like a heal - so people become fixated on the healing meter but don't look at mitigation. We have made efforts in the past few weeks to reign things in. We are still keeping an eye on it.\r\rI think he's a bit off comparing mage mitigation spells to easily spammed heals, especially blink. Which is not even a mitigation spell, it's a movement one. By that logic, heroic leap, blazing speed, and burst of speed are a heal. :P
@Wowhead: this video is autoloading on the main page of Wowhead which is annoying\r\rI'll remove it from there. Apologies. It is set to not autoplay as I said above.

And thank you ^^\r\rI have an extension to block flash but it doesn't seem to work on half the content I come across nowadays. Now that I mentioned it, does anyone know a good way to control flash content in Chrome more consistently? Especially sites like YouTube and Twitch don't play nice with opening multiple tabs while not wanting to play or load all the videos at once
The Twtich VoD autoplayed and was not silent for me.Edit: On this page, not the main page.

I wonder who exactly they mean when talking about "too strong healing from non-healing specs" because my Elemental Shaman healing is like trying to reconnect severed limbs with school-grade paper glue. I have no reason to have any healing, for that matter, except trying to stay alive when soloing anything (even doing quests sometimes) is almost impossible.Maybe they should look into the ones that are too weak when making sure nothing is too strong.
How to get more people involved in Ashran - add a queue button for it like WG\/TB used to have. If that happens there will certainly be more people in Ashran during the big fights.

I don't know what you ladies get out of this, whether it be a paycheck, or just the sheer enjoyment of the WoW community, but it should be said more often how wonderful it is to have you and the wowhead team doing what you do.\r\rThank you!

Both of those specs have absolutely ludicrous healing (doing ~half or more of the healing of an actual healer if they focused on it in arena before the hotfixes) on top of being very strong damage dealers, in a metagame that already favours melee.I've no idea why Holinka thinks sustain through healing is comparable to movement abilities for classes that don't heal, considering hybrids also have damage reduction \/ avoidance \/ movement abilities.

Some of the profession changes were poorly thought out. Fishing is now absolutely worthless, since they have detached all fish products from useful raid materials. Barns provide the feasts, and the garrison tree provides personal buffs. Since cooking is dead and fish no longer are meaningfully part of alchemy consumables relevant to the raid economy, the fish meat is as economically irrelevant as most herbs; the latter being worthless due to the sheer abundance of everyone having access to an herb garden.
How to get more people involved in Ashran - add a queue button for it like WG\/TB used to have. If that happens there will certainly be more people in Ashran during the big fights. This would be excellent. Not everyone sets their hearth to Ashran (or really hangs out there for that matter) so it would be nice to have a way to make the area more approachable (this coming from someone who manually travels out to Ashran then has to wait through a long queue).Fights seem to be pretty big though, if a little one-sided. Also, Fangraal is the Ivus that should've been...but Kronus is just bad :(Q: Speaking of Fangral! People think they are too strong - specifically Fanral > Kronus?A: We are tuning them. They used to use the on tap technology - now they spawn with HP suitable to the faction population of the zone. Their health is variable. It's cool that they have different kits but that always makes people complain that there's an imbalance.Okay seriously. This acknowledges nothing. Health isn't really the problem so much as Kronus hardly has anything in the way of mechanics (his passive bonus for killing enemies is to become more tanky, but his sheer lethality potential is not so great, meaning he's good for using as a meatshield and that's about it). while Fangraal has two notable mechanics - one of which is a large zoning tool that at least forces people to move or be rooted, and the second of which synergizes with the Alliance killing people (NPCs or players) off, increasing the momentum of a push (which is why Horde is often pushed to their base when Fangraal is active). What happened to the awesome growth and damage boost mechanic that Lokholar had? The ice tomb stun of doom? It would be awesome to have that considering the theme of Kronus is already about personal empowerment.
