I get my very own Flying Nimbus Cloud! So excited! I for one loved the lore from Archaeology and I'm so glad to see them improving on it.
It seems as though the mount, although cool, will be one of the more-used mounts of this expansion. I myself am not in the beta right now, so I don't know how difficult it is to find these monuments, but if they are just things to find in the world of Pandaria, I can see this faction to be an easy-exalted. Unless just finding each monument wont get you to exalted, and there have to be a grind for archaeology artifacts. Then I could see this as being one of the less-achieved exalted factions, seeing as that a lot of people I know do not wish to waste their time leveling the profession up to max.

I've only found a few while leveling; most of them are in out of the way locations across the world, so it will take time to get them all.\rAs with many other exploration-based achievements, I think it will come down to how people want to go about it. There will be those who plug a list of coordinates into TomTom and race through it, and people like me, who will actually go explore in order to find them.
I think it's the wrong approach to talk about how quickly you can "get to exalted." I think that's exactly the kind of behavior Blizzard is trying to curtail with new faction ideas like this.
Players have felt overwhelmed by archaeology in Cataclysm or redoing areas for Lorewalker--I think it's neat that they've added a lore-based faction that can be as fast as short as you like. Other users have felt overwhelmed by the lack of tabards and huge amounts of dailies for the other factions, so it's nice to know that you can fly around for an hour and make tangible progress on something relaxing. Pandaria introduces a lot of new lore, so I think this faction is a great way to make it accessible--vs attaching a story to a rare artifact you may never get to solve (like Tol'vir weapons\/mount).There are many exploration-based things that will take a significant amount of time to complete (some of which we haven't covered yet, others like the rare elites that drop vanity items).
is the cloud part of the mount cause if it is it kind of ruins the mount
Hehe, I love Jim Cummings... amazing voice-over actor!
is the cloud part of the mount cause if it is it kind of ruins the mountThis is all a matter of opinion, but... the cloud really is the best part of that mount after having used it for 2 days now. It has got to be my favorite mount even above the Cloud Serpents. I really don't care that it doesn't exactly show a mark of prestige, I just think the darn thing is cool!

I think it's the wrong approach to talk about how quickly you can "get to exalted." I think that's exactly the kind of behavior Blizzard is trying to curtail with new faction ideas like this.I can't wait until they add some sort of reverse psychology faction that requires you to not gain rep with them to earn rewards.Uh...but in all seriousness, I think I'll probably take my time with this one.
I have a question about this, though. Are Loremasters getting some kind of reputation bonus? I mean, I love my title, and it would seem a tad more immersive if the Lorewalkers were naturally more friendly to players who, well, are obviously more interested in lore than the others.

Having a Loremaster achievement doesn't mean players knows the lore. In fact most (actually, if not ALL) Loremasters I know just stomped through the zones as fast as possible, I know I did the same. I would not expect anything, having something like "Oh, you have a lot of knowledge in you" or something like that as initial greetings can be alright, but nothing more.\r\rI am more excited about the lore cinematics than the mount (weird, I love mounts). Hopefully they add more in future patches or even expansions.
The mount for this faction sure is unique, cool looking too. Reminds me of the Tailoring Carpet for some reason.

I really can't wait for this EP! So many things to do when I hit 90.
Ok now I'm excited and will be grinding towards that cloud mount....lol
A herp a derpin
