Lunar Festival. It was the first World Event i ever experianced. I just love how magical that time of the year feels.
A cool breeze blows by, causing my hairs to stand on end as I walk through the Spirit Rise atop Thunderbluff. It's colder this year, but the holiday decorations are out in full bloom. A tree can be seen in the distance all colorful and shiny with bright lights. I just hope they didn't let the Goblins make the decorations, or else we may have some burnt beef this year, more than the last. I see gifts lining the tree, but whose names are on them have yet to be discovered as for some reason the Jolly Old Orc is postponing his duties. I don't know why I help him every year find Metzen, but at least I can help the Orphans have a little joy. I still seem to have my toy gun, but I feel it's uses are almost up before I need a replacement... I think I may be to blame for a few of my Forsaken buddies missing an eye. I wish it would snow atop these spires, but I feel we're just too close to the equator. Maybe one of these days a "Blizzard" may come through and rectify this anomaly.
It would have to between beerfest and children's week. I like the taste of beer, drink responsible of course. Man could I tell you some stories. Looking back on getting wasted and trashed wasn't the best idea, but had some very interesting misadventures to say the least. Children's week cause I got a soft spot for kids. Train'em and teach right or they turn into a $%^&*! bags like the Jersery Shore and destory society. As the old saying goes "If you're drinking, don't drive. If you're driving, don't drink. If you don't drink, start". Semper Fi.
WoW Holidays? Probably either Day of the Dead, New Years or Pirate's Day. Why? Because they're the easiest ones to get achievement points from. No running around to every zone on every continent going to every town just to get 10 achievement points. I don't have to go try to desecrate, extinguish, steal, to the other factions whatever. Nor do I have to go hunt down every race, class, or every combination of a race class. That's why those aforementioned holiday's are my favorite, because I'm lazy.
Hallow's End.Because it brings back good memories of me as a child trick or treating. seriously who didn't enjoy getting bags full of candy :D
I'd have to say I enjoy the antics of Winter Veil the most. Killing yetis, rescuing reindeer, pirates, presents, and delicious Christmas treats! What more could a warrior (or any other fine class) ask for? Nothing, I say!
Love children's week. I think caring for children should be a first priority and who doesn't like collects companions you get from it.
Hallow's End - I wait all year just to ride around on the broom sticks, hit people with the costume wands, and the change to finally get the horseman's mount (STILL hasn't happened on any of the toons. One day.) They do a great job getting everything in game ready for the holiday with the decorations, the new gear upgrades, and the new pets! (Is ANYONE sick of their Creepy Crate yet! Anyone who didn't take it out to eat sheep and cows doesn't know what they are missing) I was also one of those who got the vampire bat pet way back in the day during Kara. This holiday never gets old, and "the Hallowed" title isn't bad either.
I'd have to say that the Feast of Winter Veil is my favorite World of Warcraft holiday because it was during this holiday that my husband and I had started playing again after taking a couple years off. I was so excited for all the pretty decorations and achievements and the presents, who doesnt love presents! We were already having fun playing WoW again but to come back during this holiday was icing on the cookie (the gingerbread cookie :) We clobbered one another with our crashin' thrashin' racers, snuck into the Alliance cities together to each get the BB King achievement and last year, messed around with our Mini Zeps (fun!) Not only do I have fond memories of Winter Veil but it is an all around great holiday and a nice distraction from dailies and heroic grinding.
My favorite holiday in World of Warcraft would have to be the Midsummer Fire Festival. Why? Because it's the only holiday I haven't finished the achievements to get my mount for, and every year it seems I either don't have time or money and it ends up passing me by. Next year for sure though! YOU WILL BE MINE SOON, MR. PROTO-DRAKE.
Valentine's Day, only because my Death Knight got the title, "Love Fool," and to this day a DK with that title makes me giggle like a school girl.
