Lightning strikes in the distance...Silence...Thunder roars through the monestary awakening a crude mixture of goblins, orcs and undead. Dazed and wondering how they arrived at this nightmarish destination, their gazes are captured by the lone flicker. An odd dwarf shaped object sits on the ground before them carved with a sinister grin, emitting a dim light from a candle which should have extinguished long ago.The hypnotic light entraps them, and the goblin slips past unnoticed. As the goblin searches the mysterious gourd, a spark arcs across the air and zaps his boney nose. With eyes afire he begins to speak in tongue. The ground grumbles and splits apart! Fire bellows from the earth as though Diablo himself would rise. With a hellish cackle the horseman of lore bursts from the depths, gazing down upon his saviors."You have freed me from my curse! I am forever in your debt. Goblin let me award you with eternal life!"Unfortunately, none of the group possessed any skill in speaking common. As the horseman approached to reward his newly found friends the horde of dazed warriors reacted as any would, with extreme prejudice!A great battle commenced, at times the battle appeared to have been won. With a thick thud, the horseman's head would roll across the field, pleading for mercy. His body stumbling about, searching, as a drunk panda searches for the fabled Azeroth.A bright flash fills the air as the horseman's boot tears through grass and punts his head straight at the frenzied orc. With a swift swing of his axe the battle ends and the horseman falls. Never knowing the true intentions the group begins to pick the corpse apart, taking its rings, his sword, even his mount and head won't escape their hunger for loot. The group begins to vanish one by one, until the horsemans corpse is left desicated, alone. A dark tendril darts from the bottomless crevice and wraps around the horseman, pulling him back into the depths. As the hellish hole seals itself the pedestal returns. Atop it a familar flickering smile.Lightning strikes in the distance...Silence...The Hallow's End. Best holiday ever.
Hallow's End!Halloween has been my FAVORITE holiday ever since i can remember, and the Headless Horseman's Reins are just phenomenal!LOVE IT!
Winter Veil. Since I dont celebrate Christmas IRL its nice to actually partake in its equivalency in WoW. :)
I would have to say Hallow's End is my favorite holiday. You can have a whole raid made up of pirates, ninjas, skeletons, and leper gnomes. Also get to watch people try to out run the Weighted Jack-O'-Lantern, to avoid it getting on their heads. Not to mention the Headless Horseman's laugh.
Lunar Festival.Back in Vanilla, I used to go to Diremaul to get the Coin of Ancestry and wait for people to enter the arena that flags you. Then I would gank 'em. Was a lot of fun.

hallows end is awesome love it im new to wow so i cant wait to see the rest of the holidays hope they all are as good
I love the Noblegarden event. I loved it, on my death knight, his second title was "the Noble". I felt so proud, being level 71 with that title, I didn't see that often. I remember running around Falconwing Square as a bunny, taking the eggs that I could. I remember this event so much one because it was fun, two because it reminds me of Easter from my childhood (egg hunting at my aunts farm), and three because I was so excited when I got it on the last day. There aren't many female orcs, you know. At least not many above level 18. I was really disappointed in myself, I thought I would never get it. I was about to log off on the last day of Noblegarden as I thought I should hearth for rested experience. I flew around a while, for some reason, and as I pressed the escape button so I could log off, and then it came... An orc female logged on! I gave the countdown for my guild before I get my achievement, as I always do, and used my spring flowers on her. I sent at least forty whispers to her saying "THANK YOU SO MUCH!" "<3 <3 <3 <3". All of my messages were in caps of course, I mean, I had to use caps with all of that excitement! I love the spring (Autumn's better!), and I love Easter, so this event was always my favorite, even though it took a long time. :) - Sonthion from Duskwood
i like the halloween most as its the one giving most of achieves. ^^<3
Hallow's End is my favorite holiday because i get to run around throwing pumpins at other players.
I really dig Brewfest! I mean where can you make achievements stone cold smashed. Like my personal favorite, Druken Stupor! So far this halloween I haven't been lucky to get the mount, but in Brewfest I got Kodo and Ram mounts on two of my characters! It's a huge game wide party and every year I look forward to the silliness :) Not too mention, the brew of the month club!
Hallow's End, hands down. I get to do all things I used to as a kid and with my kid (as she is 13 now), minus all the sore muscles from walking. No worries about razor blades in my candied apples...bout the only thing, maybe being turned into a wisp....lol
Noble garden. I like chocolate and bunnies.
Totally brewfest!Wished we had a similar event IRL with ram riding!
Winter Veil is my favorite by far. I love how festive everything looks with the lights and for people that play the game a lot its a great way to still experience the holiday cheer while being on the computer. Everyone surprisingly acts a lot more nice around that time also. That is the most enjoyable part. Its a great way for youngsters to get a little extra out of their Christmas too! :)
I think my favorite holiday has to be Hallow's End. This being said its my favorite becuase I was born so close to halloween that anything to do with it is great by my standards. I also like the fact that in WoW you can go around dressed up as something (mainly just a mask) and trick-or-treat. So no matter the age you can trick-or-treat just like when you were really little. The other thing I like about it is the Headless Horseman. I love how the fight is set up and I always find myself queing up for it as much as possible. Though I also want the mount that has not dropped for me yet but I am determined. So for those reasons Hallow's End is my favorite world event in WoW.
My favorite holiday is Winters Veil because no matter what level you are, or how old you are, its always pleasing to open up a gift and get something special . I remember when I opened up by Grindgear Gorilla, I had so much fun with that thing !
