Definitely the Midsummer Fire Festival, Ahune is awesome, plus all the bonfires reminds me of druidic solstice events.
Pilgrim's Bounty because it reminds me of the fun times I've had with my in-game family as well as the awesome food my family cooks for Thanksgiving.
Pirates Day!Just because everything is better with pirates! And who doesn't like pirates? They're just pure awesomeness. Being one yourself is a great feeling!Oh, and pirates day is my birthday as well, giving another good reason for me. (19th of september)
Winter Veil for me. It was the first holiday in WoW and made a strong impression on me. Through the years as WoW holidays have transformed from fun events with rewards for players of all levels to the current grindfests aimed mostly at those at the level cap, Winter Veil has remained that enjoyable collection of quests and fun items that are available to players of most levels without the herculean, time-consuming grinds that have become more and more the norm for WoW holidays. The spirit of Winter Veil is as alive in it's current incarnation as it was back in 2004 when it made it's first appearance.
Hallow's End is my favorite WoW holiday. I actually really dislike the holiday events, but Hallow's End is kind of like the party pooper holiday. You get to mess with the opposite faction and annoy people with pumpkins, vomit, and wands! If only there was an antithesis to the What A Long,Strange Trip Meta achievement where you got to ruin holiday events. I demand a brown Proto drake and a ",the Party Pooper" title!
my favorite? It's still children's week.It was the first holliday i did (when it first was released) and I still remember the fun it was (c:
Pilgrim's Bounty is my personal favorite, both for practical as well as personal reasons. From the practical standpoint (also possibly translated as: the lazy standpoint) the event allows the leveling of cooking to happen very, very quickly... so all my new toons always wait till then to level up the skill, because it's much less tedious, hehe. From a personal standpoint, it's because it reminds me of the good times at Thanksgiving, back home, when I was a kid--yes, even down to the throwing of food across the table at each other. Our Thanksgiving dinners weren't complete until at least one person had taken a dinner roll to the head. =)
My favorite is Brewfest because I love beer in real life.
Brewfest, because... Beer.
Mah favorite holiday hash alwaysh been Brewfesht. Tha firsht time I tried ta shteer a shpeedin' ram while in a drunken haze, an' failed misherably, crashin' inta every shingle damned thing ya can imagine, all fer more beer...I knew it wash tha holiday fer meh.'Cept for them blashted Wolpertingersh...when they give ye that crazy look in their eyesh, ya know you've had a few too many...if that'sh posshible....hic!
Hallows End! It was the event that got me interested in holidays in the first place, all those years ago, by wanting to own the sinister squashling. It was also the very last holiday i needed one single achievement from short of getting What a Long Strange Trip its been, two years gone. The cause? I still needed the Sinister Squashling. My pumpkin joined my purple proto drake for a celebration in Dala, that day.
