Ever since the Cataclysm it seems that few people have time for quests anymore; even when they actually are doing them, they're only trying to get through it as quickly as possible, get their loot, get on to the next one, get to 85. I started playing during the buildup to Icecrown Citadel, and believe me, I felt the rush to get to level 80, to get raiding. But I was fascinated by the stories that this world has to tell, if only one is patient and listens. So I took my time. I actually read the descriptions of the quests I was asked to undertake. And my reward was that instead of NPCs and questgivers, I found people; sometimes even friends. And I'm so glad that I found them when I could, because now many of them are gone forever with the Sundering. That's a bittersweet thing for me. But the mere fact that words on a page and shapes on a screen could evoke such strong feelings of empathy from a player is a triumph that Blizzard's writing department ought to be proud of. That's why - to this person, on this side of the screen - the term "achievement" is a most fitting description of The Loremaster.
Why? Because It's Redjust because its red.
Brutal Nether Drake This one, why? because it was incrdible difficult for me as a warrior to obtain it, because my character wasn't full arenas when season started so i had to make a lot of pvp and learn good how to use the warrior. Good luck all people!
My all time favorite achievement of mine has to be the "Kingslayer" achievement. The story line of Arthas and how he fell to Frostmourne, became the first Death Knight and eventually taking the throne of the Lich King came to a final end as a guild I was new to and I took him down him after weeks of trying on 25 man. One of the real life reasons it's my favorite is that in order to even get that far in the raid I knew I would have to join a guild. I searched on the forums until I saw a recruitment post that seemed to match my personality and attitude about the game and raiding; when I spoke with the guild leader and put in an application for the guild, he asked me where I heard about them since they weren't recruiting at the moment... turns out that post I saw in the forums was a couple of years old and I didn't realize it. They gave me a one month probationary invite, and that was over a year ago. This guild I'm in is one of the reasons I still play WoW at all, and I found them as I was trying to get that "Kingslayer" achievement. It is by far my all time favorite! :)
mine has to be It's Over Nine Thousand! ... both amusing and annoyingly time consuming to aquire >:(
It has to be Stood on the fire, is really funny to get an achievment for being Killed xD.Well it has to be that and What a long trip has been.. it just tooks some years to finish, and the reward is a pink draco... yeah pink xD, But well is worth it xD
For me it is a toss up between Hail to the Chef and Blood Guard. The Chef mainly because I didn't raid or dungeon alot back then so I did alot of solo stuff. Blood Guard probably my more favorite of the two though. It was awesome to look at the pvp standings and see myself surrounded by a crapton of level 60's on the list when I was only level 40. Too bad I got into PvP too late and could never get any higher than that before the honor revamp. I wish they'd bring back something similar to BG PvP.
I think i'm most proud of The Loremaster () because I do it for 2-3 weeks and I think it's not a lot of time.Hmm. And the Full House (25 player) (Full House (25 player)) because I think it's really hard in cataclysm with cataclysm gear because we need to hold a lot of mob + Mind controlled play + boss.
Hail to the Chef! \m/
Loremaster pre cata - scrounging for quests
I'm most proud of my scourer of the eternal sands achievement. There I wa a fresh 83 in Uldum when I scroll over this little statue and notice i can click on it. Being the inquisitive person I am, I click on it and am instantly ported to some unknown oasis crawling with camels and a big, ugly, monstrous Camel Hoarder. I was terrified to even attempt to take down this elite on my own, but figured I'd give it a shot. Needless to say, 3/4 of my health, a gargoyle, and an army of undead minions later, I stood victorious over my camel-squeezing foe. I looted my camel and got the one hump or two achievement. With patch 4.1, I now enjoy the scourer achievement along with my always displayed camel hoarder title. I still have people ask me how I got such a silly yet epic title.
I loved all the wotlk title achievements , like Guardian of Cenarius and The diplomat. Adds a little extra flair to my character :)
What A Long, Strange Trip It's Been on my paladin Pegrhan (Feathermoon)!
Mine would probably be City Defender. I'd been dropping CoA & Corruption on Hordies who would continually attack Stormwind since...well, since as soon as one would actually land on them. I don't PVP, really, unless it's in town and I was really pleased to get the achievement not a week after hitting 80 on my first character.
