My favorite zone would have to be Zangarmarsh. I chose this because it was the current content for when I started playing. Who can not love Zangarmarsh. It was home to a challenging (at first) raid, which only some people got the privilege to experience. It had it's own little PvP tower defense. I will never forget the hours I spent grinding Cenarion and Sporeggar rep. All of this and when I think about Zangarmarsh I think about all the fun I had on my druid during BC. There was an abundance of herbs, minerals, and gas clouds there as well. I had mining and engineering on my druid so when I got low on funds or saw something that I really wanted I could just fly out there, put on my helmet and turn on "Find Minerals" through the mini map and zoom around Zangarmarsh with my 280% flier. Druids at that time didn't have to shape shift out of flight form to get gas clouds or to mine mineral nodes so I really did make a ton of gold then. And when I say a ton of gold then, I mean a couple hundred gold an hour. Yes it was a very tough time, now I make about 3 or 4k a week and do nothing except for use cds. I probably make a lot more but who is counting. I think through all of BC I made about 120k and that was thanks to Shattered Sun dailies that I used to train professions and farm with the professions. I mostly farmed in Zangarmarsh though because all throughout BC and even toward the end of it Primal Water was still ridiculously high on my server about 20g each while all the other ones were like 2 or 5 g each. Zangarmarsh was equivalent to Wrath's Sholazar Basin and Cata's well I haven't really farmed much in cata so maybe you can tell me.

I don't frequent it often, but I've always liked Ashenvale for it's huge, expansive forest and that sort of dreamy feel that most areas with Night Elf influence give you. The new changes to it give it a bit more immersion, but whenever I'm in the forests, I crank my music volume up in hopes I'll get to hear the new Nightsong music play. There's so much hidden lore to it, as well, with all of its ruins and now - war-torn towns. It's makes a Hordie like me want to stick my character there and explore for the sake of exploring and go, "What's beyond that line of trees, there?"
Old Azshara ftw! The old king-of-the-hill BG that they never implemented was always interesting to think about.
Hands down, the old "hidden" crypt under Karazhan. Ulduar was cool, but it didn't have the Upside Down Sinners. Having seen that, nothing else comes close. The atmosphere of the crypt was foreboding. The whole thing was remarkable for a zone that will likely never see the light of day. Find it on Youtube.
I love Zangermarsh. The feeling of a mysterious and adventurous swamp was awesome. I also love the mood of the place in general
The Barrens (pre Cataclysm) - Without it, Chuck Norris would probably be in a ditch somewhere, rather than on his rightful throne!
My favorite would have to be Storm Peaks. The music, lore, and terrain gives this vast zone a surreal feeling...
Favorite zone... WoW, that's a tough one.Hummm.... If I had to choose it would probably be Karazhan. Still, by far, my favorite raid and probably the best zone, especially if you include the smile and crypts which are very, very hard to see but sooooo worth it.
Well my favorite has got to be the new Darkshore Because the whole area is revamped so much, Some Points that make it my favorite zone- The Secret waterfall which leads to the Npc Telarius Voidstrider And eventually leads up tot he achievement Ghosts in the Dark- The Eye of the vortex Hey C'mon Who doesnt find a Malfurion Stormrage Druid who can control up a whole Cyclone by himself- The Cracks Everywhere you go The earth is Cracked Etc.- The Grove of ancients a BEAUTIFULL Area with Ancient of wars Everywhere you look nature.
I gotta say Grizzly Hills if only for the music. I could sit in Grizz Hills all day and listen to the music and be content. The Arugal quests in the zone are nothing to sneeze at either.
It may just be me, i mean ashenvale and mount hyjal has such beauty to it, but the zone that made the most lasting impression on me has to be Gilneas, i mean that whole setting i adored, went perfectly with the whole worgen/werewolf storyline and i couldnt help but stop and stare at that amazing Mansion type house you got to visit. That zones made the best impression on me :)
Blade's Edge Mountains.Because the sky is just B-E-A-utiful, it's full of stars, it changes the collor (my preferred is the orange one) and if you look carefully you will think it's night or maybe day, but you can't know and I like it! =D
For this I have to answer Un'Goro Crater It gives me a sort of Lost World feeling and since I'm a sucker for everything this subject has to offer it's hands down for the craterA high variety of dinosaurs, elementals and a big firelord what does a player have to wish for more?
