Cryptstalker, it was a very well flowing design and one of the few I could actually stand to leave the helm on for. Plus who doesn't like getting an extra set of eyes >.> Also it was the the best hunter set in vanilla and everyone knows you can't beat vanilla. (or hunters) :P It also holds a special place because I managed to get all but the ring before BC came out.
Tier 3 Mage Set. Got to love the Glaziar look of it.

My favourite tier set was the tier 4 for hunters , first days of BC and first epic raids , the green demonic lights coming from that black steel armour was just epic , specific for the burning legion "event" :D
T2 of druids, Stormrage Raiment. The most druid looking tier out there :P
Warlock Tier 6 by far.
The Cataclysm Harness looks wonderful on Tauren, so that's my pick. I also have some fond memories of those days, so I guess there's some nostalgia involved in it too :)
My favourite set would have to be the Dreadnaught Armor, in it's original T3 incarnation. My guild and I were quite nubbish back at 60, I had only just managed to get full T1 a couple of months before TBC hit (Nightslayer Armor AKA Boob Shoulders). The gap between really cool, progressed players and more 'normal' players was massive. Never was this more evident than after Naxxramas was opened.I remember seeing a few people wearing some Tier 3. To my knowledge, there was only one tank on our whole server who had the full tank set, and you occasionally saw him in IF, just standing about. The set is absolutely massive, it really makes the tank look like a giant, hulking monstrosity! Exactly the type to take hits for your raid. I don't think any other armor set compares at all - it's pure intimidation factor is just ridiculous. And I just love the design itself - it's very understated. I often feel that many sets are a bit too complex - too many pointy bits, some sort of weird niche design, or just many different colors. But not Dreadnaught. The ultimate status symbol for the leading man of a leading guild.Intimidating. Massive. Scary. Exclusive. Impressive. Understated. Efficient. Coordinated. All words to describe Dreadnaught. I leave you with a link to the set on the model viewer.
This set: http://www.wowhead.com/itemset=-260.Just because prot warriors were epic back then and they deserved that awesome tanking set
Probably a tie between T2 Paladin, and Upcoming T12 Paladin. I don't even play paladin anymore, those sets just look amazing. T12 reminds me of the sidekick in Darksiders.
Warrior's T12 = Epic!
T1 Nightstalker Armor is my all-time favorite because the Nightslayer Chestpiece(Nightslayer Chestpiece) was the first epic I ever won. After killing Golemagg, my friend and I were pretty excited that it dropped. He was in the guild a couple of weeks before I joined so he already had a couple of T1 pieces...I have raided with the guild a couple of times so I had a lot of DKP (lol) saved up. When this dropped, my friend and I went into a bidding war. He bid 45 DKP and said "Alex if you win this I'm never talking to you again." Well, I went all in with my DKP and won the piece. At school I saw him and he just gave me a a head shake and walked away. He wasn't mad haha, but he didn't talk to me for a couple of days at school. Good thing he won it the next time it dropped for far less DKP.
My personal favorite tier set was the Wrathful Gladiator's Vestiments 270 pvp gear for rogue. Just the way it looks strikes a sense of fear, if you even see it coming before your dead that it
My favorite set ever was the Shaman T10 set - the Frost Witches Gear (well, I wore Battlegarb being ENH). It had a strong, cold theme fitting with ICC, it used the base of a creature from the zone it was from. It had a fantastic helm and shoulders. The lines were clear and crisp, especially on the 264 version. It was one of the best overall efforts Blizz has ever put into Tier armor.
I love Hunter Tier 3 the most, because it was really special back in the old days.
My favorite of all time has to be t6 priest. It's cliche, I know, but I adore the set and thoroughly enjoyed my time wearing it. I use the white offset recolor for all of my guild's kill shots still though! A close second is my warlock's t5. So evil. So sexy.
