Zereth Mortis Introduction - First Three Chapters of Patch 9.2 Storyline (Story Spoilers)

First Three Chapter Unlocks

Chapter 1 unlocks access to Zereth Mortis and the Oribos portal to the zone, located in the northern end of the Ring of Transference.

Chapter 2 unlocks World Quests in Zereth Mortis.

Chapter 3 unlocks the Cypher of the First Ones system, Daily Quests in Zereth Mortis, and a Campaign Skip for the first 3 9.2 chapters on alts.

Firim: I, of course, am Firim. Sure you have heard of my expedition to locate Zereth Mortis.
Pelagos: I fear not. But the brokers in Bastion do tell of an expedition that went missing long, long ago.
Firim: Missing? Hardly! I succeeded in finding this realm of knowledge and wonder. A place of tranquility... until the Mawsworn attacked.
Pelagos: I see no Mawsworn here. Where are they?
Firim: The Jailer's forces are spreading like a plague across Zereth Mortis. No doubt he seeks entrance to the Sepulcher.
Firim: The secrets of the cosmos lie within. Be wary! His agents could be anywhere...
Pelagos: What manner of constructs are these?
Firim: They are called automa. The caretakers of Zereth Mortis, left here by the First Ones.
Firim: If you can help me harness their might, perhaps I can find a way to use it against the Mawsworn.

Elder Ara: The sacred words tells us that the First Ones placed waystones at crucial locations where they would one day be needed.

So much happens in so little time and we barely touch the action.
I think this would all have profited far more from Legion pacing with 9.2 having all the outdoor content and 9.2.5 having the raid so they did not have to blow all the story that leads into the Sepulcher in the first week just so getting there in week 2 made sense but given how badly they have handled their release schedule in SL that is obviously not an option.

Also confused on why it is taking so long to get introduced to the Cypher system (which is the reason the skip is absolutely needed, having all alts go through all those quests would take forever). And I do wonder what exactly the story will be in Zereth Mortis. We know week 2 we will have access to the Sepulcher and the raid's story begins. So when are we doing the rest of the storyline? Obviously not after? You say that but for the first several expansions ppl complained that they were getting tired of doing all the work and NPCs kill stealing and getting all the recognition for it. Ppl are going to complain no matter how the narrative goesComment by Stalker92In short, Zovaal is way ahead before good guys in everything (again), he gets the upper hand and he's already about to win, but PC's will solve every problem and win in the only once crucial battle.
This is way too predictable, boring and dumb. Blizzard's writing like since WoD became the same. And the only situation when PC's faction gains almost unfair advantage was only in BfA on Alliance's side, as Horde (not counting lighting Teldrassil) never got any significant advantage over Alliance.Comment by Vibriss

They really are 'just a face and a name'. They can't have motivations or personality of any kind, because each player decides that for their character. This is the reason why Horde campaign in BfA failed so spectacularly: it made players choose between two equally unappealing options. The story told from the perspective of actual characters will always be more interesting. Some part of WoW can give a wrong feeling, I agree, but they expressed it since the first time we heard about Shadowlands : it's not about one character doing anything. It's about the Maw Walkers, all the adventurers, doing their part and saving the day. Hence why they also talk in the Grimoire how they were many Maw Walkers to witness Ysera rebirth in Ardenweald, or many Maw Walkers in all Bastion campaign to help the kyrians.

I think it also work well with Mal'ganis trolling.
