Tank; I can't stand to be in the back throwing sticks or spells... I like to be right "in the thick of it", build threat, and laugh at attempts to kill me. In the Amalur demo I tweaked that a bit and still kept the sword an shield, but threw in the spells for combos.
I've heard a lot about this game, and cant wait till its out.Usually play a Paladin Tank type, all the way back from the good old D&D days :-)

I'm not quite sure why but I usually gravitate towards the ranger type role: Hunter in WoW, Gunslinger in SWTOR, and will be playing Demon Hunter in Diablo 3. I guess I like shooting things in the face. :3
Mage, or other character with lots of speedy travel available.
Tank, definitely. I just love keeping aggro and being the most important part of the tactics !
I usually head for the rogue style classes in games. Something about the finesse of stealth that is very alluring to me.
I tend to go for the DPS class, usually a Rogue-type so that I have the option to sneak past crap if I just don't wanna deal with it.The demo for KoA I went as a Rogue first, then a Warrior. Mmmm... big hammer smashy...
Typically I play a caster type. Nothing beats the feeling of delving into the secret workings of the world, but more importantly, raining hellfire down on my foes just feels so right :P
I usually play a caster/healer, mostly becuase i enjoy the support i can give to the people i am playing with, i also enjoy the responsibility of being a healer, being relied on. Makes the whole gaming experience seem alot more involving :).
I always try to test all combat styles, but I seem to be drawn to wizard characters. There seems to be a far greater variety of abilities for our friendly casters. I never mix them though. I always go pure, destructive butt-kicking glass-cannon spec. I just enjoy leveling up and becoming the ultimate avatar of destruction.
usually I play a caster (mage) but since 2 years I play also a healer ... :-)
Sword and Board/Meatshield/Tank.
