The most memorable moment must be when I attained my first mount, and by saying my first mount, I mean the sixty percent mount back in vanilla world of warcraft. I think it was on level fifty eight that I finally had saved up enough gold for it, and it was a real blast. Back then you were happy over one gold, while now you may receive over a hundred gold from a complete stranger, man, I miss those days, they were gold.
My favorite memory might have to be the first time my guild got to C'thun. You stand there, ready to pull, staring at the giant Old God. Afraid but full of adrenaline, the raid leader tells us to "charge!".Then...ZAPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP...BZZZZZZTTTT! ZAPPPPPPPPPPP!His Chain Lightning ability kills EVERYONE in 1 shot just after we took 5 steps into the room! The ability does more damage on each jump and has no maximum amount of jumps it can make, so when pulling him you have to run in already spreading out since he uses it almost immediately! It was extremely funny at the time and I have heard other long time hardcore raiders talk about this memory as well over the years. It may be a simple memory, but it's a good one, one I share with many other long time WoW raiders.
I would say that my favorite memory is when a really good friend of mine and I, living about 900 miles away from each other, logged on and "sat together" in-game to watch the 4th of July fireworks over Stormwind. Some time later we finally got to watch the fireworks in real life together and reminisced about the in-game holiday we shared. It still remains a very fond memory.
Oddly enough, it's a simple one... I have very fond memories of running Karazhan with friends, because it was one of those instances that has all sorts of fun bosses, interesting mechanics, and it's always fun running friends through there now that I have higher level characters. ^.^
My fondest memory is from when my friend asked for my help with his water totem quest for his shaman in Silverpine Forest. It started off ok, we both followed the road from Undercity until we got to a bridge and then we we decided to go following the water. We ended up getting lost, with mobs always chasing us. Eventually we found some undead players and we asked them for help in return for helping them with a quest. Unfortunately, all 4 of us were new to the area and to a certain extent the game and we ended up having an epic adventure just running around in circles because none of us even remembered to use the map. At some point we began to find worgens and my shaman friend got separated from us and then we found a bigger white one with a special portrait for it... hehe, my new lvl 14ish undead guide/friends and my 21 tauren tank met their demise soon after and I understood the meaning of elite mob. Somehow we ended up in the Sepulcre and we decided to call it a day. To be honest, it was the most I have ever been immersed in the game :D
Four years ago I was exploring the mountains north of Hillsbrad Foothills, my soon-to-be favorite zone. As I forged ahead into the unknown on my Troll rogue, I discovered Ravenholdt Manor, full of my brothers in stealth. At the time there was not a ton of information about this area, so when I decided to comb every corner of the area, I was surprised to find a small path leading to what appeared to be a dead end. Being the explorer that I was at the time, I carefully tread along the mountainside and found, to my excitement, a new path! I followed this path, taking in the rising peaks surrounding me on both sides, and came upon a small clearing. I found myself face to face with a sparkling pool of tranquil water, calling me in.As I jumped in, I was surprised at the depth of it. Swimming to the bottom and back, I jumped out and rested beside a small dimple in the mountain to dry off. As I sat there, still dripping, and looking out over the entire foothills, I told myself, "This is my home."I have since retired my rogue there, and the small pond still stands to this day. This area is used in fact, for part of the valentines day chain. Here is a map of the general area. It is above the river, but high in the mountains, beyond ravenholdt manor.Give it a look! It will always be my favorite spot and memory in wow.
Thinking back on it, my favorite image that will be cemented in my head from this game isn't killing a particular boss or achieving a certain feat. Shortly after fraction changing I got to know some of my new guilds regulars and one in particular became my best friend. So my favorite memory is with him. It's quite literally sitting in the Horde district of Dalaran on a lamp post. Chatting away the hours to kill before raid time. Not much has changed since then. I'm still sitting around waiting for something to start. Only this time I don't have to sign into vent to talk to him anymore. I just have to wait for my husband to get home from work. :3
we (hordies) had ended up having an hour long pvp battle royal with some allies while trying to do one of those pit fight quest chain back in Wrath. Ended up having a blast & chatting with some them about it (some of them rolled horde alts so we could communicate). Later, 2 of our new pvp buddies had an in game wedding in Moonglade & invited our little band of hordies to attend. The video is still up on YouTube. After the "ceremony", there was to be some pvp action (their 30+ vs our 6 or 7, lol.). They came to Org & we ended up hand delivering them to Thrall's room where they quickly met their death as a whole lot of Horde waited to get in on the fight. It was a lot of fun for both sides

My favorite moment in World of Warcraft, was on my priest back in Vanilla. At a point, you could Mind Control the guy standing outside the AV entrance for alliances. So I did, of course! It was easy to kill alliance with him, and his cleave was very powerful. Lo' and behold, they never found me, but i was giggling behind a nearby tree, killing the unknowing deserters ;) Those times were hilarious. I also loved the first time I stepped through The Dark Portal to Outland for the first time.. nerdgasm.
My favorite memory has got to be when I created my first toon. WoW was my first MMO, and my first Warcraft game. So I was experiencing a whole new genre and story at the same time. That first quest to go kill boars, gathering apples, beating a cultist down, I remember that entire starting zone. Also, trying to leave it early and getting owned by a scorpid right outside the gate. So that also includes my first death.
What is your favorite memory from World of Warcraft and why?My favorite memory has to be the first Day I heard about and started playing World of Warcraft. My Brother and I both downloaded the 10 Day Trial and both made Humans. A Mage and Rogue to be exact, we thought we were pretty cool :P After a few Quests and Levels we finally reached Goldshire and headed off to the Fargodeep Mine. We killed a few Kobolds while Laughing at the ridiculous growling noise they make upon Aggro, and decided that we were going to buy the full version of WoW. We found a Nice, Cosy Mine Cart to sit in together thinking to ourselves that we were obscured from any Kobolds vision therefore we wouldn't be attacked so we left for the Store to buy the full game :D When we got back Home we were sad to find out that somehow we had been killed in Cold Blood by those dastardly Kobold :@ We laughed it off, Installed our Games and started our WoW adventures anew :)That has to be my favorite World of Warcraft memory of all time :D
my fav moment is either when i took over my friends level (really onying him) or the first time i got to darnassus since it seemed to amazing
My favorite memory of wow... was when I was on my experience stopped level 70 paladin, I was farming ore, it seemed like the greatest day of my life, I found 8 rares and tons of ore in a couple of hours, then I used the money for the Blood Elf Paladin quest for the Charger mount and got my tabard the same day, I still wear the tabard and I still have that paladin. I still have my level 70 tank gear I used too.
My favorite memory of WoW is when my guild down Kael'thas in TK. It was just before his big nerf in patch 3.0. We worked REALLY hard to get him down. Our kill attempt was perfect and when he finally died, everyone cheered. I practically jumped out of my seat!
My favorite moment was entering Ironforge for the first time in the open beta, seeing the huge dwarf statue, listening to the music and getting goosebumps. It just had this epic feeling and I knew then I'd play this game for a while :)
Long ago, when I first found the boat from Teldrassil to Menethil Harbor, I walked off the boat at sunset and ran into my favorite NPC of all time: Captain Placeholder. Trying to find my way to Ironforge, where I heard there was an Auction House, gave me a sense of the enormity of the world and got me hooked on exploring!
My favorite moment in wow was about 5 years ago. I was playing on the Firetree pvp server. I happened to come across a lower level horde player and promptly disposed of him. Little did I know, it seemed like his entire guild was just around the corner. The retaliated upon me with no reserve, repeatedly. Doesn't sound like much of a good time, but it was a lot of fun attempting to elude at least 20 horde players at once, who just wanted to murder me. Looking back at it, the fact that I played a gnome warrior back then may have had something to do with it. At least I got one of them!
