My favorite moment was around lvl 30 when I met several other like minded players. We all ended up joining the same guild and whenever we were on we pal'd around and quested and raided together. That was 4 years ago and we still quest, raid and pal around together.
My fondest World of Warcraft memory is probably my first time riding across Howling Fjord then into Grizzly Hills and seeing the icebergs on the water for the first time, and realizing just how much work and love went into the creation of this beautiful virtual world.
My most memorable moment on World of Warcraft happened after I made the switch from Alliance to Horde. My whole family switched so that we could play with my sister and her husband. So now I'm looking at a Tauren warrior instead of a Human warrior. The first day, we went into the Stratholm instance and I was transformed into a human again. My first thought was "Wow, what a nightmare - I dreamed I was a cow!" But it turned out, in the end, I really was a cow. Thank goodness I love the Horde!

II'll always remember the first time I went through the Dark Portal into Hellfire Pennisula. Riding into a new land, with Azeroth in the sky, and an army of demons storming the Stair of Destiny, was a moment unlike any other I've experienced in my time playing WoW. Outland had its faults, but that moment truly made me feel like I had arrived in a place far away from the Azeroth I knew.
Going after the insane in the membrane achievement. Wowhead helped me to identify all the things I would need and it was awesome to have wowhead for critically planning this three month arduous task of getting exalted Shen'dralar, Ravenholt, Goblins, and Darkmoon Faire. I had read a few tips from other people on the achievement, and from that I learned a couple other tricks to increase my rep faster. It was the biggest puzzle, and the greatest guild challenge we ever faced together. A handful of us managed to pull it off while many others gave up. I'll never forget that as long as I live.
My favorite memory of wow would have to be going into kara as my first raid as a max lvl toon and having to learn to tank on the fly for my guild i had just joined, been tanking ever since.
My favorite world of warcraft moment was when I was clearing Setthekk Halls with my druid, completing the old Epic Swift Flight Form quest chain which required summoning Anzu... when we dropped him, the Raven Lord mount also dropped, and I lost the roll by 1 point to another druid in the party.... 150 Anzu kills later, I finally got it! Definitely my most prized and well-earned possession in WoW ^.^Winning the STV fishing contest on my level 19 twink was a close runner up :)-Pause, Bleeding Hollow
I had stopped playing wow for a few weeks, just from lack of time. My daughter was just born, and as any parents know, those first few weeks of getting used to the addition and the sleepless nights are the worst (although so worth it). So finally when I had time to get back on, I logged onto my main (enhance shaman), and EVERYTHING WAS GONE! I had been hacked. I was SOOOO upset. I immediately called and reported that my account had been compromised. My favorite memory is definitely logging back on after a few days to see all of my stuff had been returned. All the gold, and gear and everything I had worked so hard for. The sheer relief that they were able to determine and find everything and get it back to me, I can't even begin to explain. I am sure that anyone else this has happened to feels the exact same :)
My favorite memory was not long ago - around a month, but the reason is not at all because it's still fresh in my mind. During WOTKL I was fortunate enough to get my Time-Lost Proto on the second day of my camping. This fooled me to think that I will always have this luck. So on May 11th knowing that I will have a lot of free time in the weeks ahead I decided to go and camp Aeonaxx thinking that if I camp seriously (no less that 16-20h a day) it will be week or two. Sadly there wasn't a single spawn until Sunday (15th), the problem was that at this same moment I was in a raid for one single (the progression) boss I promised my guild to come for that week. Three days later (18th) at the morning I got some work to do for just an hour and left the PC and WOW enabled when I was leaving so when I get back to see if there was a spawn in the 30min the game stays logged with no player activity. Of course when I got back the addon showed that there was a spawn and probably no one noticed it. Fast forward 13 days of no less than 20h camping per day - they actually were not that fast to be honest but constantly expecting it to come next minute kept me staying. On May 31th a new camper came and stayed for the whole night with me so I knew he was serious about it too. And of course on the next day Aeonaxx spawned on the single spot he was camping and not the 3 spots I was camping. Why I'm telling all this long story - just to show you why its my favorite moment by far. Around 48 hours later after being so bored I decided to go around all 6 spawn points just to do something and not to stay like most of the time. When I get close to Temple of Earth's entrance my addon's alarm enabled and I started to look around trying to spot it on some of the 3 spawn point it could be but no sing of him. Just then I realized that all other campers that got him are telling the truth about how much your hands start to shake - its a mater of few second will my hugely boring, almost 24/7 camping continue or it will end now (23 days so far). Maybe just like 4-5 seconds after the alarm Aeonaxx slowly appeared (on SE1 for those that know what I mean). It took me another 4-5 seconds to reach him but they felt like 1-2 minutes of fear that someone will be faster then me and 450+ hours of camping will be in vain. After wanting a mount so much and spending this huge amount of time to have it, believe me, the adrenaline rush when I got it was enormous, my hand were shaking long after the kill and I sill was unable to stop laughing (it was like not being able to control it). This can't be compared to the hardest boss kills I ever had and is absolutely my favorite memory from WOW.Typos edit
My Favorite memory is when i got Reins of the Raven Lord on my first try as my friends have done sethekk halls like 2000 times with no luck *grin* :D
