So none of this data from wowhead client upload? Just curious..
Still very much enjoying these articles. :-) Thanks for all the lovely info! <3
Why does a lot of the previous xpac items sell for so much still, like dreamleaf, motes of water, various primals etc?
crowd-sourced data is very useful thank you.
Thank you very much for the mention! It's worth noting that these are definitely just ideas and the story may very well be different on your server. When quoting pet prices, I tried to be as honest and broad as possible, taking data I've seen from various pet sites, as well as seeing the gold in my mailbox from the actual sales. If pets is something that works for you, great! If not, there are so many other ways to make gold legitimately. For example, the Jade Legplates mentioned, I farmed 2 pair in Zul Furrak, sold one for 50k and one for 30k, so things do indeed vary.Happy farming!
I love your wrap-ups Gumdrops <3 For an old gold goblin like me it gives some new perspective and ideas to try out. Thank you!
It's often said there's great money in selling transmog items, but I had no luck with it yet. :SNot sure if underminejournal lists previous sales, but is there a website or chart that shows how often an item is being purchased on the AH? Because they can be worth whatever, if no one buys them.
These guides are awesome and was just what I was looking for! The last guide helped me make 100k by selling 2 items! You pointed out it's transmog of style week and you noticed there was an increase in people buying Mogs! I listed my 12k item (from undermine journal) and turned it into 52k!
Looking at prices on sites like WoWhead assumes that every server shares the same economy. But that's not true. Only site you should be looking at if you want to value an item is Undermine Journal and similar sites that look at individual servers. An item on my server might sell for 2000g but on another server it might sell for 1000g and on a third server it might sell for 5000g. WoWhead might list the price as 4000g, but if I listed the item at that on my server (or the server where it sells for 1000g), it'd likely never sell or it'd take forever and a day if it didRuthless players on the AH is why I never bother with it anymore. I'd rather farm my own stuff and make my own stuff than deal with players who snipe, undercut, or price gouge. It's a rare day I sell anything on the AH, either.I really hope Blizzard makes the AH like the old D3 one and the token where it's region wide. Then the economy can stabilize across all servers, more stock is available at all times, you can buy how much you want, there is no price gouging or undercutting because the prices would be like the token prices are, and no one can monopolize anything.
I prefer non-video guides, and the Battle pet site I use is https://wow-petguide.com , it has a tool to scan one of your toons' battle pet collection, and say which pets you have that they use in their guides, which to level up, and more. And more, the community too helps with more clues one the fights, they have guides for the most important ones, Darkmoon dailies, Tanaan, achievement ones, etc. They even have rematch strings so you just need to copy them and past at the addon in game, it will load the teams for a fight, saving them already with the abilities to use. Also, on the Battle pet part, I can't believe you forgot to mention that caging-uncaging battle pets its the safer way to transfer gold between faction, or servers. That same site I pointed out, has another tool now, that scans the AH on of the servers of some toons you set in it, and tells which are cheap on some and expensive on others. For example, the Tranquil Mechanical Yeti recipe can no longer be obtained, but on high populated servers they can go so cheap, you can snatch some with a toon and sell for high prices on your main server, or a low pop one. I farmed some of those new darter dragonling (from the Puzzle cave) on one server, leveled them up to 25 and sold 1 in each of the servers I needed gold. As the Guide owner said in first post, you may need gold to make even more, and Battle pets are a good way, even if you try new servers, as long as you already have some toons leveled previously.
A great thing about selling battle pets is that since your pets are account-wide, it gives you a source of quick income literally anywhere in the game. Starting to build up a roster of characters on an unconnected realm or cross-faction? Sell some battle pets.
i generally distrust the advice of shills, as they have a latent motive in suggesting where to spend my time and money.
