There was a seller on my server with a name that suggested they were open to OBO mails. I know I've bought stuff that I missed on the AH, but tracked down who had it posted through undermine journal. I don't know why blizz is removing it, but if it's so they don't have to deal with reported bots, that's disappointing.
Love these post, are you also active on the wow subreddit for gold making?
its huge mistake no idea potions worth or gone sell or not.i did lot of wrong pet like istead od 25k put pet put 2.5k someone bought was my mistake upseting tooetique or not its legal.but if u play same server if u play player same fraction.give him something better for future.like if u do really 60k profit reward him few stack herbif this happen vanilla server only playing no xrealm close comminites strong guilds force to settle big things.but not people not even bother type chat or dont care been rude or toxic something like thatbecouse of almost no backfire.so etique acutally is set by communities.like if live primative isolited canibal clan lerts say 100 -200 year ago.refusing feast is unetiqual.today we not only obey rules and laws just becouse of our consience .we scare can be punished shamed pushed over .like this kind mistake personallike someone mail instead of alt to you some gold and itemblizard said uif u open ticket and mail isnt open can returnbut u send 4 x 32 slot bags and 50k gold and some item wrong personal and he took and used they not returnits worst then this case.but still legal my knowlange as they not punish reciver or not return back items.i do this too not so big deal sometimes i misclick mispell like suprise even aha 30 day later some of my alt get mail some runes back i didnt even notices some casesunlike real world in wow finder is keeperso u listed 1siver by accicenty clicking tcg mount and someone snipe it 1 sec totally legalin real life some other kind rules and protectioneven u didnt stole wallet if u find a wallet no it isnt yoursso wow and rl work diffrent.i dont use ah much i dont use addons listing for finding them too i even hate it.or like op raged for listed item cheap .well if i dont care i wana ride of dont care it.this isnt pro sport need be that cariful.its game and most people dont carethat epic u created cost 20 k u wana do get8 k profir but someone listed 20500g and say u stupied use addon u undercut and people look cheaper and cheaper i can do profit noo rl or wow not work like thati hate those kind addons but this is reality.people use even illegal bots stant still 10 hour at ah look up cheap items for resell.dont use legal or illegal addons buts bla bla.so if someone listed wrong item u wont return its %99:999999999999999999999 cases if u know him then maybe or yes.depend how close u are.give something small or good amount is considered too if well knowen player guild little know eachother etcand can be taken like 5-10 diffrent player too what can do reach all and ask themits upseting happen me like yearly 3-5 timesometimes cost even biger sum then this.but even upseting no legal or etiqual question hereif was only 1 stack no one even bat eye but did so many stack sum goes big so its condierations.
I'm going to miss not being able to look up seller information. I used it to search for my own AH toon on the Undermine Journal throughout the day so that I could see if I was being undercut without having to log into the game.
Keep it.Give it Back.Wait until asked and then give it back.Sell it for a profit and splitI have actually had this happen a bunch of times, especially with sniper. If they hit me up, I will trade it back, even if they make a snide comment to start the conversation. However about half the time, they just make a snide comment and then rage quit (they log off so I can't even answer them back). In those cases I just sell it, it was their mistake, I was willing to help them correct it, but they just assumed I wouldn't, that's on them.
The "name" thing. This is a disaster. No collaboration with other sellers/buyers. Completely anonymous. I feel like they are trying to turn this into a single player game where no one interacts with anyone anymore. It's like when LFG came out... everyone stopped talking to each other. This is a mistake. Not for everyone, but for anyone who really enjoys playing the market aspect. This will make the game worse.
For the ethics question I think you should not refund or contact the seller. Their lesson is in the loss, don't deny them that education or you break the risk/reward/punish auto-correcting system.I just had this myself when I bought an odd level 1 green pet (not a named one that sells often) for 24k g when I thought it was 2.4k gold. And no, haven't been able to resell it to recover that back.I also bought a Dig Rat that wasn't a pet, some kind of material that peeps are posting to catch idiots like me. I learned ;)
When I find an undervalued item I'm interested in, I purchase it and send extra gold.Generally I part with around or just below the low end of market value mind you, unless it's somehow apparent it's a new player.
Nice, Blizzard protecting bots even more.
On our small realm, we have one person (often under a few alts names, but I have a list) who posts stuff for millions of gold just to frig the percentage price and fool people into buying "bargains" or posting stuff that will never sell (I can't just scroll through and post transmog items, for example). Loosing the name will really impact ability to ignore these misleading people.
Well that sucks, I'm one of the biggest ahers across the US, and I took pride being #2 on Tichondrius / multiple top #10 across the US, and bam, they go take names off. On a side note, it doesn't effect business at all. You can still see name in-game AH.
