So they finally got in front. Wp!
60 pulls? That's just giving it to them at that point. Geez.
Survival on AoE, that's what I'm Tolkien about. They're already kings in M+. At least a shining spot in raid won't hurt the 2 ranged. I still remember their amazing ST from BfA's Bird of Prey build.
And why nobody mentiones that out of 12 melee, there's no retribution paladin? I don't believe ret paladin has appeared in rwf in last 2 expansions, or at least not at late bosses, i may be wrong tho.
3 anti magic zones, 4 rally crys, a darkness, might have something to do with the comp, where rogue and ret paladin don't bring raid DR cd's
I'm not saying sub should be top tier at aoe, ST, funnel etc - if anything sub as a single spec is probably somewhat OP atm. But keep in mind rogue has two other specs, it's not just sub, and those other two specs have basically no use now (this is what I meant about being a pure dps spec - it has three dps specs to choose from). Rogue should be similar to what hunter is now, you can bring BM for pure ST and its ability to do mechanics, and you can bring MM / surv for aoe/cleave. They might not be the absolute top in each but they're all very good, and you have options to choose from.Warlock you will see them break out affliction and be great on a fight like prototype pantheon, even though they already have an S-tier spec in demonology for most of the other fights. Rogue should have some variety in situations where they excel, but the situation is now mostly rogue = sub rogue. When you talk about 13 melee specs but only 5 were taken, 3 of those are rogues so the numbers are inflated. It'd would be better to say which classes with melee specs weren't taken and that would be druid, rogue, paladin, monk. There's no doubt ret, feral and ww need some love, but they are single melee dps spec classes so it should be more common for them not to fit into a damage profile, whereas rogue should be more versatile due to them having three options.Perhaps rogues would not have been brought regardless, because this is RWF and they'll pick whatever has the 0.1% more dps and raid cds, but there's a gap in their design for sure. And yes you're correct that some specs don't get played at all and they need to be looked at too but the original rant was about rogues :D
