good lord. i can't believe (i can tho..) ppl are siding with the jailer... these same ppl probably also sided with garrosh tho and probably championed him absorbing power from the heart of the old god for his maniacal schemes i guess... "he just wanted some knowledge" not exactly. he didn't *just* want some knowledge and if you really think he's Good Guy Jailer... i mean, for one, why tf has he sowed so much chaos in our own realm of LIFE if he was any good. Arthas and the forging of the armor/weapon and trading that through to the Legion... like... there's no defense for him. usually when people (note, baddies only do this) try to obtain knowledge that isn't meant for them, it's because they're bad and don't deserve that knowledge/it's being rightfully kept from them. him being a baddie is so glaringly obvious. he's also quite irredeemable after the atrocities he's committed.
The Protoss
OK, lemme get this strait...So you are saying that the Jailor in this story must be the good-guy because he was only seeking knowledge and he did nothing wrong? You are also saying that what Uther did was 'worse' than Sylvy because in SL, when you are killed, you are perma-dead/cease to exist, but Sylvy's 'literal genocide' was acceptable because, well, those who were killed will get to 'live again' in the SL.So, using 'your' logic, Jailor/Zoval IS the bad guy and evil because when he tried to take the Sigil's by force, any SL inhabitants who 'died' during the war, that the Primus eventually lead to victory...Well, those entities are perma-dead/cease to exist, and using your logic, that is the greater crime... So yeah, Jailor/Zoval is the bad-guy.TY for making my argument for me.
So, I like the 'Robbery' aspect of it, because yes, Robbery is not just Theft. Theft is like someone just stealing a candybar at a store, which is a misdemeanor. While Robbery is stealing using force or the threat of force; force is not necessary. i.e. if you point a gun at someone, or even just have your hand in your jacket sticking your finger at them, force is threatened and implied since everyone knows what that means.Robbery will get you locked up in the state pen vs. county lock-up.It is stated that Zoval wanted the Sigil's and was told no. Then he tried to take them by force. We don't even know it that was his only crimes. I mean, he could have been a real asshat before this and this was just the last damn straw. Also, I know it is bad to commit crimes in general, but isn't it just a bit more horrible when you commit terrible and violent crimes against your own kin?Lastly, someone said something close to this, but I don't know if it is what they meant, but I read it and laughed. Basically, Jailor/Zoval, for his crimes was basically 'sent to his room' or 'got house arrest' for his crimes! There might be some unspoken rule amongst Titan level beings that it is taboo to kill one another, so instead of killing him, they locked him up, and even after Sargeras killed the other Titans, instead of killing him at the end of Legion, they basically put him in time-out at the Seat of the Pantheon.IDK, all these people who really really are trying in desperation to make bad things acceptable is pretty sad. Justification of crime and evil? We have seen that before and it never ends well.
So, each leader of the covenant are eternal ones, and including the Jailer. Each was given a sigil. Jailer seek more than his own and wants all, so was banished and called Jailer? I thought there are 5 keys (sigils), only 4 covenants current zones. Well technically 5 zones if you consider the Maw. Maybe Jailer's zone is the maw and he's key oversee that zone. Just like how you would think Hell has a ruler, that if any souls not lost, stranded, gone to heaven, or reborn, it would go to hell. Same process revolves around the 5 zones of Shadowland.
