You should also grab the latest AllTheThings build and once prepatch hits, start collecting the Outdoor pets. ATT will show you the way.

Prepare your transmog. Really groundbreaking stuff here.

If you don't actually have anything to say in the article, just don't write the article. Of all the things to do before the pre-patch, all you had to mention was the Midsummer Fire Festival and glyphs?

How about:

Stockpile leather BoEs for the mass of monks that will be made.
Stockpile profession leveling materials for all the Pandaren that will be made when the pre-patch is released, particularly cloth for Tailoring and metal/leather for Engineering.
Get the mounts from Heroic raid boss drops while you can since they drop to 1% droprate when the prepatch hits.

Took me a few seconds to think of those, and I'm not paid to do it.

Good article. Thanks wow head!

The following content exclusive to Cataclysm will (most likely) be removed in MoP-C PrePatch:

- The Story sequences of the final Vash'jir-Quest "Defending the Rift", both Alliance and Horde
- The Cataclysm versions of the Dungeons Ragefire Chasm, Scarlet Monastery (all wings) and Scholomance, including Quests. Other Dungeons (Blackfathom Deep, Razorfen Kraul, Razorfen Downs and Blackrock Spire) will be replaced with WoD-C.

People are gonna be buying BoEs when you can get blue gear from dungeons super easily? At least that's what I remember of Cata/MoP RDF, is that every single random dungeon gives you a bag with a random blue at the end.
Yes, because the pre-patch launches on July 1st, and the expansion launches on July 21st. For those 3 weeks, there are going to be thousands of monks being created, many of which are going to be spending money to get as geared as possible before entering raiding and/or the expansion launch.

I had no idea this wasn't already out, man they like to drag these things out.

Does anyone know if we'll be able to buy the guild heirloom legs during the prepatch?
I can't work out when this will be available, and what are the prerequisites.

(for example, today I'm no longer in a guild, but I'm still able to buy the heirloom cloak and chest pieces)

Omg i love that quest so much i did it on 4 characters ! i am grateful to have experienced the final quest stories in Neptulon's realm , i was really so locked in when questing in Vash'jir , and that final submarine quest was so thrilling to do ! even the Throw back Naga battle-maiden quests reminded be of Maiev missions from WC3 campaign !

Nar'Shola Terrace is so majestic, and they used the same model in the Well of Eternity instance for Azshara's palace , giving you insight to how it would look in its prime ! i love the detail about "activating the palace's ancient defensives'' because the Naga battle-maiden was of Royal Night Elf blood and could activate them , which were the little moon lamps around the Terrace !

so many call back items like 'Varo'then's Brooch' , which does the "Finger of Death" spell from WC3 Eredar Lord unit
Did you know the "Highborne Enchantress" mobs in Well of Eternity is wearing a 'Black' version of the mage T3 set ? and it looks very Tron

MoP removes head enchants from the game, so this is the last opportunity to enchant heirloom head armor. Existing ZG head/leg enchants are still usable, but can only enchant legs.

There are other collectables this article does not mention that players should be aiming to collect before Pre-Patch hits.

Below is a list provided of additional items that will be removed from the game or harder to obtain post pre-patch & expansion launch.

"I Can't Hear You Over The Sound Of How Awesome I Am" - Achievement that requires you to defeat Sinestra deathless on the 1st attempt.
-This will be converted to a Feat of Strength

Pureblood Firehawk Mount from Heroic Ragnaros will no longer have a 100% drop rate. (Likely will change to 1-3%)
Life-Binder's Hand Maiden Mount from Heroic Madness of Deathwing will no longer have a 100% drop rate. (Likely will change to 1-3%)

There are certain Scholomance & Scarlet Dungeon transmogs that will become unobtainable due to the revamp of the dungeons. (I would recommend researching this). However in Scholomance, there is a specific epic cloth chest piece called Alanna's Embrace that only drops from Raz Frostwhisper. The item has a very low drop chance, and it is a 1 of 1. This item cannot be obtained anywhere else in the game other than from this boss. When they update Scholomance, this chest piece will no longer be obtainable. This goes for many other transmog items in those specific dungeons, but this is the only epic quality item that is the hardest and LTM.

In case you're into cooking, there are certain cooking recipes in the older zones that will also become unobtainable. (I don't have a list on me, if I remember I'll come back and add them in.)

I've heard there are certain quests that will be removed. (Not really sure, would look into this yourself).

Hope this list helps, I know some of you likely didn't know about the Alanna's Embrace, so best of luck to you on your drops!
