Despite me making a video before Shadowlands, about whether Blizzard could re-implement the old talents to supplement different play styles within a spec, such as bleed build in assass rogue, the old tree would be "defensive / offensive / utility" and the current being abilities we pick up from xpacs or something. But something like this is also a fun and neat alternative, my hats off to you!
Same. It would be really unfair for all those people who farmed hard and tried to get a mount for 10000 times already.
I haven't always been a frequent visitor of this site, so I don't know, but is it normal for Wowhead to just take Reddit posts and make articles about them? I thought this site was for information and news about the game, not some random idea someone on another website had.
Pretty sure he got inspired by this from playing Path of Exile's newest expansion which coincidentally has a new "talent spec" system for content. (There's some parallels)
instead of all this hullabaloo.... just give us the legacy content scaling proper for the content we want to do. it's pretty easy to cheese "much older" content than the second most recent expansion, which is where we're supposed to have the latest legacy buff anyways..... why go over leaps and bounds for new systems like this when the solution is literally glaring in the face. :sigh: huge waste of resources this could ever be.
God I would kill fo that transmog master one, specially if it works, with class sets
Fun and nice ideads. This dev team does not like those so it won't happen.
I'd love a system like this, and have been begging for one for a couple expansions, though this one does seem a little overpowered.I like the Bear Tartare idea. They never should have nerfed Bear Tartare, or at least left it working as it used to in Legacy Loot Mode content. The gold one would never happen, but I could see it being replaced with something like "do not get durability damage while in old raids".Transmog Master would be awesome, but OP. They'd never do it. Instead, I would propose an item we could buy for 200g or so that lets us learn any old-expansion item to our collection regardless of transmog rules. The teleport to a raid entrance on a 24 hour cooldown seems a bit much. Let us teleport to an old-expansion meeting stone once every hour or two, maybe.Definitely needs one to teleport us outside of a dungeon we're in too, though.
While I appreciate these ideas, they wouldn't be necessary if the devs just fixed the issues we've been talking about for years now:1. Scale the legacy buff properly (so that mythic Legion raids aren't harder than they were at 120) and remove this "11+ levels" nonsense. The legacy buff should apply to BFA content, right now.2. Remove personal loot restrictions from everything that qualifies for the legacy buff. Again, this should include BFA.Make these two changes and nothing in this talent tree would be necessary.
A while ago I made a forum post pointing out that as the game expands it becomes mathematically more and more difficult to collect a decent proportion of it. Newer players especially have zero chance. With the new lack of long breaks between patches, which players often used to visit old instances or do a bit of mount farming, most players with have accounts reflecting when they started the game - they'll only be able to "keep up". My solution was to simply increase drop rates in legacy content a little. The suggestion was not well received. But some sort of adjustment seems inevitable. The game at the moment is just about farmable with one toon. But I'm betting the majority of players have more than that...
i saw this earlier and i loved the concept, but i have 1 question... how would it exactly work? Like, some of them either kill the whole point of transmog farming or gives you random loot of transmog anyway....Don't get me wrong, the others sound great and be good to add them but my reservations are what i just stated.
I would KILL for that transmog utility... the rest... meh
I want transmog master so bad :'c
It would be a good thing, so we know for sure nothing like that will ever happen.
