Warlock Glyph of the Observer Removed From The Game in Patch 10.1.5

ImpFelhunterCharred Glyph

WARLOCK

Glyph of the Observer is being deprecated and will no longer be an available customization option for felhunters.

Developers’ note: With the arrival of the new warlock pet customization system coming in Fractures in Time, we will deprecate the Glyph of the Observer customization. Our reason for this is to ensure that each demon retains a similar silhouette across all available customizations, so that each demon and the functionality or power they provide to the warlock is easily understood by other players as well as the warlock.

Why warlock? Where is hunter pet customization system?

Comment by TuulaniW

Absolute nonsense....it's a pet, no one's paying much attention to it.

Comment by worgenfear

That's unfortunate. But hey silver lining I bet the new looks for the Succubus and Void Walker will look just as cool as the fel hunter and imps do. Still looking forward to seeing those :)

No.

Whaaaaaaat? Excuse me? This was my favorite Warlock glyph! Ugh, PLEASE stop removing cosmetics like this. Stuff like this really soils the good stuff that comes at the same time. :/

Comment by warlocktank

Why warlock? Where is hunter pet customization system?

You guys already get new pets every single xpac. Stop crying. Meanwhile DK's are still using ghoul models from Wrath.

Why warlock? Where is hunter pet customization system?

Hunters have over 25 different types of pets and over 600 colour versions to choose from, Warlocks have 5 pets which have been the same since launch of the game, (updated model couple expansions ago)

I say remove felhunter instead and make observer the default, I cannot stand using felhunter. This glyph was amazing. I do not care how many cool felhunter customizations that might be coming if I can't have the option to use observer instead. :(

Comment by Bpp1

rip bozo
all my homies hate teh observer
ranged mob that fights in melee gtfo
(respectfully)

Comment by mikeyrandell

Wait, does that mean they're gonna remove wrathguard and shivarra too? :(

Comment by Leeroy1887

This is super gross

Comment by SleepyDremora

In 10.1 you took away the ability of demo to use sayaad or Shivarra in PvP via Pleasure through pain talent, now you takes away Observer
Blizzard, how in the world are you making such bizarre changes? Why do you hate warlocks and demonology so much?
In the past few years you have introduced and re-introduced ways for Frost DKs and Fury to utilize different sets of weapons - like a single handed duals for the fury.
Why do you reject and oppress divercity that warlocks had at every turn?

Our reason for this is to ensure that each demon retains a similar silhouette across all available customizations

Isn't that going straight against the ideas of customisation and diversity?

It is ridiculous, for fel sake how hard it is to understand that Observer is anti magic demon.

so that each demon and the functionality or power they provide to the warlock is easily understood by other players as well as the warlock

Then maybe you should change the visual appearance of rogues, how in the world I must tell apart sub rogues from assassin rogues? Dracthyr are all alike. Hunter pets?

Observer was an option for the warlocks since MoP, he should stay with us.

functionality or power they provide to the warlock is easily understood

Maybe first you need to update the functionality?
Return knockback to succubus, HP buff to the imp, Disarm to Void, paranya to Felhunter?

With the arrival of the new warlock pet customization system coming in Fractures in Time, we will deprecate the Glyph of the Observer customization.

And what about visual diversity? Hunters have dozens of models that have different visuals and animations that is tied to similar pets.

We warlocks deserve to have demons we had in the past. it is not a progress when something is taken away from you it is The Regress.

Comment by lordlexx

Absolute trash take from Blizzard. If someone doesn't understand what a warlock can do then they should just shut their mouth. This customization is more than a decade late and you are taking away further customizations..

Are they gonna take away hunter pets so everyone can understand what each pet does too?

Comment by Aenthas

last permanent pet warlocks has was from BC felguard and its for 1 spec, shame on you blizzard

Comment by Brightstarz

Maybe this is harder to do than I think, but why not just disable glyphs in arena/battlegrounds?
