Ion's defence based on 'interesting decisions' sounds good in theory, but its heavily romanticised - in practice you will almost always just give it to whatever DPS scales best with it - yes you might want to hold it for an add phase or a burn phase but that's the same with every other cooldown in the game. If every spec in the game was a potential PI target in some situation, that would create some depth and decision making but I don't think that's even close to the reality at the moment. It's just another cooldown you press that makes the balancing team's job more difficult than it should be.
I think having separate logs to show with PI and without PI would be good. Playing a Priest myself I've had more raid leaders cba to assign PI, so it's me getting harassing whispers from all the DPS saying "it's good for me, I want it" but I need to dig around for google sheets to see which spec it's BIS for and explain that to everyone else... With some personalities, the topic of PI falls into a hostile argument where I just want to block or quit... Besides from the childish QQ over not getting PI, there's also a great percentage of raiders (I've only seen them in low and mid-tier raid teams, not cutting-edge ones - I assume this covers a huge portion of the raider population) who complain to great lengths about how they can't parse without PI like it's impossible to parse over 50 without PI...Raid Leaders need more support managing their teams, and be able to assign things like PI in a stress-free way. Proper logs to show with and without PI would be a great start and it'll prove to those people that you can parse well without PI and there are just simply 'other' things for those players to improve on like mechanics, gearing or rotation.
OMG... are you kidding me? Why not remove all types of buffs, if the buff is given to self or a member of the party.
People are cringe. The only ones complaining are the ones not receiving it. It's not yourself that matters but killing the boss. Think like a team. And the ones saying ''remove the spell'' LOL Buddy. It's my spell. Make it self-cast before removing it.
Imo, the answer would be to change PI to a % increase in dps or hps. (crit might work too) where the extra value gets counted to the priest (by blizzard) that puts PI, not the target. This makes it more fun for the priest and better shows their value in the group
Burn it to the ground from the rankings. It's about sending a message.
Ban it and watch the world burn!
Power Infusion40 yd rangeInstant 2 min cooldownRequires PriestRequires level 58Infuses the target with power for 20 sec, increasing haste by 25%.The target receiving this effect will be unable to benefit from further Power Infusions for 2min.Would this not address the majority of the issue?
Tried to vote but its not appearing.. Please ban it warcraftlogs! Also anyone in the restless crew party!
#2 or #5 for me.I want rankings to show an individual's ability. Power Infusion completely messes up the rankings. Ideally, I'd want a 6th option:"6. Have two entirely separate sets of rankings (with PI and without PI). The default would change to the non-PI set."That would make people focus in the non-PI rankings, but still give the raiders that have PI to check out how they're doing compared to others.
