As a female player none of this has ever really bothered me. Most of the female races are sexualized, it is what it is. I dont feel pressured to look like them. I wonder what they are going to do with that concubine wing in karazhan.
So it begins. The lawsuit is a sham and was never about "justice" or "the victims of abuse." It is, and has always been, about power and control. This is just the tip of the authoritarian iceberg. It may seem "small," "minor," and "something most won't notice;" but that's the idea. It never starts with a big change. It's always smaller ones that build up. This is censorship, pure and simple, and yes transmogs will be on the chopping block soon enough. Unless we stand up and tell Blizzard, "NO!"
As a female gamer, I'm so tired of people acting like showing a bit of skin is somehow going cause great offense. The paintings they had weren't even remotely offensive. Don't forget to cover up any paintings of half-naked men because that's sexualizing them as well.
Thank you, Blizzard, for protecting us against the evils of CLEAVAGE.Coming soon: when you completely unequip a female of all gear, instead of a bra and panties, they will now wear shorts and a tshirt - because heaven forbid you show any inkling of T&A
"open mind the human says.... evolution he also says..."(Im Italian)This reminds me of when my country covered centuries of storic statues genitals to favor the complaints of other countries hosted.Unnecessary Moralism and complaints IN VIDEOGAMES makes these changes possible guys. Funny.... the human being its so chaotic in its incoherence....This is just the Iceberg tip. Peoples complains wanted this, and well they just have to shut t.f. up and whatch for the changes. (censorship included). When humans will understand the world of videogames has to be untouched and separated to the reality conditions (and recognized like that awareness) will be probably 2154.Another GAME ruined by the human IRL mess. what to say? GG lol
Sounds like they just hired some 3rd party company who simply went through wow and gave them a list of things to change.
No. Keep the old paintings. WoW is made for sexual themes, not censorship, and everyone across the globe hates censorship.
"Can you stop sexually harassing your employees.""Maybe.. maybe not. But here, we changed some paintings to not show female skin. Surely that will make you happy."Blizzard is so pathetic, JFC.
This goes a bit far, IMO, unless it's a situation where someone like Afrasiabi was responsible for the art in the first place, in which I'd hypothetically be fine with changing it if the devs want to do so.If it's coming down from on high and they don't think it's worthwhile, that's bad. If the devs are the ones making the choices because they know the internal structure of the team when these things were originally made, I'm fine with them doing whatever they think is best. Not knowing is... it's not really our business, but it certainly does make some of these changes look weird.
Great use of your time blizz why fix your company when you can make yourselves look like idiots.
I'm sure this will stop all of the lawsuits, Blizzard.
These people don't watch TV if they are worried about this? Check out Megan Fox's dress she wore recently.
The first picture is the same as many, many, MANY armor models. The second picture is clearly wearing pants and a mask the same as other Ravenholdt members - I guess something can be said about the bikini but since I can transmog into a bikini on my character and do a sexy dance... I dont see how this is any difference.
