A hotfix is on the way to remove an incorrect additional -50% Focus Regen modifier for Survival Hunters. After this change Survival Hunters should be back to 5.0 Focus/sec, before Haste.
Can we get a 6th pet ability to replace the removed purge? Pet types that had the purge just simply don't have a family ability, last I checked. Maybe a pet-based clone of Curse of Tongues? We already have MS and a snare, a cast speed slow will fill a similar niche of reasonably useful but definitely not mandatory utility.

Now, we just need BM hunters to not have exotic pets locked behind level 39 (equivalent of 98 or 99 on live right now). That should be level 20 (a significant improvement from live's 65) like before. Or better yet, just let it be baseline. They took a pet ability and made it baseline on the hunter instead.

Now the pets that had the ability have no ability to use other than basic attack.

This would be comparable to taking a talent and giving it to you baseline, not replacing the talent with a new ability, but still leaving the blank talent there that you can still select but does nothing at all. Why would you ever use a pet that has no ability or select a talent with no ability when you could .... use an ability? God damn @#$%^&*s.The thing here is in BfA they reworked pet families to do certain stuff in order to give them uniqueness among them all, in this case, we're talking about a dispell mechanic. They kept this system on Shadowlands while adding such dispell baseline, so now they're forced to add a new utility mechanic to that pet family (which makes sense since it's now blank).

However, to be fair, the guy is right as well. They're probably adding a new utility mechanic to maintain the uniqueness, making hunter class even more useful now whether it is PvE or PvP, which is basically his point, even though it is kind of twisted. The problem here is there are several classes with little to no utility at all in most scenarios (Feral druid for example) while some others are getting even more.
