The irony of posting this on the same day as the above but now that I am back from work & have had some time to think about this.

Unhalted Unit Frames will NO longer be updated. Today, has been an eye opening experience and honestly, the level of abused / hatred I received today is just not something I need or want to deal with. This is solo-developed, passion project which is free-to-use, at no point, should ANYONE be subjected to this level of abuse or harassment - unhappy with the product or not, think about how you speak to one another & treat people.

For those of you that stood up for me and showed patience, thank you :Love: Unfortunately, for me - this was just the final nail in the coffin.

I would like to reiterate for those that may have forgotten. AddOn Developers do this for FUN, we do not make millions & a lot of us have jobs - they are free to use and therefore, you should expect issues / changes / adjustments and be a bit more patient with the developers behind those addons.

Respect and cherish addon devs, it's because of them that we even get upgrades on our default UI. They drive all the improvements in the game. It's because of them that we can play with decent UIs. It's because of them that we got any QoL updates at all.

Addon devs have the passion, the brains, the ideas and the experience to make all our experiences better.

I can absolutely 100% tell you the harassment is either Millennial (my own forsaken cohort) or ultrajade Gen Xers who think their eternal grudge against the universe means they have to treat any sort of passion project as a kind of 'huh what do you have to be happy for' kind of situation.

If you release something, it doesn't matter if it was for free or not, you have a responsibility.

Admittedly, I do not have the whole context since I haven't even been playing WoW, but from the context that was given here, my opinion is this: outright breaking everything for some users after an update is not acceptable. We should have standards. Some people will have to go through a whole ordeal to revert the changes or to find a new addon and configure it in time for their raids because you decided not to test it enough. It's harsh, but this is our job, and excellence should be the standard.

Not to mention that I'm sure the haters were the minority, and you also have a duty to those that defended you. Time to put on your big boy pants and learn to ignore internet hate, and focus on the work you have to do.
