I like the idea of fresh classic servers with some changes. I don't think they should just nuke world buffs though. Just don't let them work in raids. No reason to get rid of the use and nostalgia of them entirely.
no world buffs and no debuff limit and i would play again
I honestly just wish they'd push Wrath quicker. That would be enough for me to quit retail.
I think the "Classic" fresh was just some people looking and hoping for something that wont happen it was just them putting in new tech such as ray tracing and better shadow tech
Aw, biggest pieces of news doesn't cover Blizzard botching the launch. Nothing like not properly stress testing, not having what realm you're on be on you friends list so that they can come play with you, having multiple full realms and not launching the additional realms in a timely manner even though they had them ready in advance.Bonus points for TBC Classic also not stress testing properly and adding in a paid for mount. Super extra credit for saying that they never did character copies to new realms, even though that's exactly what PTR character transfers are. What, were those not "news"? I would think a company that strove for years for "we'll launch it when it's ready" repeatedly failing in that would qualify.
I'd love to see Seasonal Servers that give you a reward to use in retail, upon hitting certain milestones. Hitting level 60, or killing the final raid boss of the current phase come to mind as requirements. Maybe one related to hitting Revered with the 3 battleground factions?
reliving the 'glory days' of wow is like going through your old cd wallet and seeing bands you used to listen to.
classic+ is probably the way forward. Although I think all of this is a bit doomed given the community is so different and everything is already known/solved.
Yes, thank you for clarifying I was thinking this too.
Roll a Mage - Sell Mara Boosts - Get Gold Cap - GDKP for Purples - finish out the season selling Mara Boosts
I'm sorry am I supposed to clap for Blizz for releasing content they have already developed and released 10+ years ago.....like minimal work and effort were put here...meanwhile retail is steadily dying.
Sad no mention of Pagle's achievement of longest 10 hour war ever, lasting over 14 hours.
I now play both TBC Classic and Retail, raid logging in TBC classic, and just chilling out grinding rep/currency in retail. On paper, Retail is a superior game by a lot, and the amount of stuff to fill your time with is quite impressive. It just doesn't feel that much better when playing. I think I prefer having things to do, I just don't think it adds up to be a better experience. TBC on the other hand is fun in that if your raid loot doesn't drop, there's no point worrying - just level another character. TBC is amazingly alt friendy.Shadowlands is an amazing expansion, probably their best. Torghast is divisive but I love it. I really could care less about the drama at Blizzard now, just get the house in order and move on, stop trying to make it a social justice utopia. I really hope we still get to see 9.2, 9.3 and 10.0 with that level of quality, as well as WOTLK Classic. That's my gaming sorted for the next couple of years at least. If the company truly is sinking, and they can't end Shadowlands on a high, and have a good next expansion in the bag, at least we'll have WOTLK for one last hurrah.
Fully agreed with this comment. At this point it seems like its cool/ hip to $%^& on the game even though it's doing many things right (talking about Shadowlands). Yes the game could be better, but it's not bad at all.
