Why do I have the feeling this won't be account-wide and will be awful for alts.
I'm not super thrilled with the timed buff stuff, but it'll depend on how fast things tick down. Would be annoying to be picking powers while your empowered buff is running out
So is the plan to make Torghast more of a slog and then give us a talent tree to get it back to being "normal"? Because that's what this new Torghast system feels like right now.
Can’t wait to not come back to retail and try out this new content, really looking forward to it.
i hope it is not like visions, where it was impossible to do a 5 mask run without the tree at a certain level
Another grindy system that won't be alt friendly at all. Great... Torghast is such a miserable experience and I doubt very much that this will enhance it at all

My biggest issue with all this is that it's tied to speed. That was a major miss-fire for the dev team.I also think it's a mistake to make the runs shorter. Shorter runs equals less anima powers which means runs are more predictable and boring as you always target the same powers. Longer runs, such as those in twisting corridors enable more whacky combinations and are much more fun.I'd rather do 1x1h run with crazy anima combinations than 2x30min runs with boring, predictable powers to cap soul ash each week.

Got to admit, all of those talents seem to be completely boring and not gameplay impactful in any way shape or form. At this point I wonder if anyone at Blizzard actually plays roguelikes or did they just skim over wikipedia article about some. This talent tree is as if Dead Cells only had health flask upgrades or if only items you could unlock in Binding of Isaac were health increases. The only thing these talents do is add error margin padding, their influence on actuall moment to moment gameplay is exactly none. Feels like they analyzed the most boring and mundane aspects of Horrific Visions upgrades and doubled down on them.Bonus point for Freed from Torment which is literally an unlockable solution to an artificial problem.
I really liked Visions. Torghast.. not so much. I don't think this will fix it either.
