The Arcatraz The Black Morass The Slave PensThis was so long ago that people forgot that to stop everspawning mobs at start, you need to kill all the guards. They always yell/kick tanks that try, and when such group inevitably wipes later, MORE deaths to mobs happen. Some pack mechanics, like stacking for meteor, is also very alien and ill suited to pugs.Black Morass is just... BORING. For a change, it's just a silly dungeon where all you do is rush from spot to spot randomly; there's nothing like pathing or route to consider. YAWN.Slave Pens have me wondering, but again, this might be due to the priest slowfall skip in the latter part, and the presence of a skippable boss, which nearly always ends with people yelling to skip. The replacements all seem very suitable, particularly Underbog due to the Sanguine Hibiscuses for the farmable rep. The Blood Furnace has me worried, though. The stairway full of rogues is definitely gonna end with pugs dying a lot, because stealth detection skills like hunter flares are all but forgotten by the general populace. Ahn'kahet: The Old Kingdom Pit of Saron Utgarde PinnacleOK is long, has packs with annoying casters that can easily wipe a group, is rife with skip opportunities which pugs are likely to botch (causing a wipe, in worst scenario) and is home to two bosses that can be skipped, resulting in tremendous pressure to skip.Pit of Saron has been considerably nerfed, but people still don't know how to drop stacks on first boss, and how to properly execute skip after Ick (boss two) or even the tunnel. Level of coordination is high even for a full guild group on voice, because people don't want to put their mythic raiding pants on for trivial content... and thus, it's easy to get a wipefest if you get paired with people who don't know the content, don't want to learn, and are severely undergeared.UP is like OK - two bosses can be skipped, and there is almost always pressure to skip everything that can be skipped. The new picks here are all linear and hold nearly no challenges or surprises...But I'm kinda stumped by the remaining changes... they all seem like turning bad for bad or worse...
That's weird, during cata timewalking I was sent to grim batol only once.
I absolutely love Arcatraz and Utgarde Pinnacle--why can't we just have more time walking dungeons?
Grimrail Depot, YES! My favorite WoD dungeon!
As much as I like grimrail, Iron docks was pretty good. They should have removed Everbloom. On that, It still blows me away they removed the skips from Everbloom, honestly screw the Everbloom.
Why remove them though? Just add these new ones to the queue.
I like the changes, and I hope blizz continues to rework old dungeons for timewalking. I think it would be great if there were like 3-4 dungeons per TW, but cycle them around a bit, and also do some sort of account-wide check to make sure you don't get the same dungeon over and over again, which seems to be a constant occurrence with me getting the same dungeon 5-6 times out of my 8 characters.
Pit of Saron is one of the best dungeons in TW, so much fun to tank. Grim Batol also pretty good (at least until they nerfed it into oblivion and the drakes basically kill every mob along the way). Why don't they just include every dungeon from each expansion? In fact, why is TW an "event" at all, and not just something available through the Caverns of Time?WoW's original designers created the perfect mechanism to access old dungeons, and the team that replaced them for Cataclysm a) ruined several great dungeons (Deadmines, Sunken Temple, etc.), completely removing the original ones, and b) didn't even realize there was already a "timewalking" mechanism built into the game.
Add more dungeons (Halls of Reflection, Zul'Gurub, Zul'Ama , Hour of Twilight, Cathedral of Eternal Night, Karazhan lower and upper)!Don't remove dungeons!
TBH at this point only thing i care is that those tw-dungeons are the most short ones to complete and have least amount of bosses and trash.Only reason you are doing TW dungeons is to get that weekly 500 badges (Multiple chars have like 30k allready) and THAT F****** Reins of the Infinite Timereaver THAT DOESN'T EXIST OR DROP.... FFSAnd maybe for gear some weekly gear upgrade for alts if you do the weekly 5 dungeons.
I didn't mind most of the removed dungeons, except The Arcatrasz and, to some extent, Grim Batol. As for MoP, glad to see Scholomance added to the queue, but rather than Siege of Niuzao, I would have preferred Shado-Pan Monastery get taken out (or just fixed; the mobs in that first hallway have been evade bugged for years now).
Iron Docks was an excellent Dungeon in terms of VO and music
