The hubris displayed here by blizzard is mind boggling.I'm hoping some studio finally releases an actual MMORPG and pounds this husk of a franchise into the ground, so they have to cancel this 'saga' midway.
i think what people didt think with "getting them faster" was there might just not be 6 months of 1 season, instead it might be 3 seasons with 4 months each and 3 raid each expansion.Not 1 season and 1 raid each expansion.

Im sorry but this isnt true, they literally said they dont want people to complete this by 2030. How on earth does that mean its set to conclude by 2030? Also every other interview states how the expacs are coming out much faster and each expac will have a years worth of content. Feels like yall are just stiring crap up for no reason....
Aaaaand here it goes. No third major patch for 2 xpacs in a row, and now a hint that we are getting the expansions faster, all for the generous price of 50$ per tick, I assume. Just churn them out as fast as you can, milk the players and heavily incentivise them to buy the 90$ option (first time we saw the early access and guaranteed beta bull&*!@, but no way will it be the last, judging by the amount of new gryphons flying around). Can't let them poor, poor investors gain less than last quarter. All in a game that already charges you monthly.
Makes sense. Every expansion has released in the even years (2022,2020,2018) so 2030 being the conclusion follows how all the previous expansions have been.

At no point does this make out we will stay at a 2 year cadence, they are being very clear that they don't expect it to take anywhere near as long as 2030 to complete the saga. Here are the exact words "We want to ensure that players aren't completing this saga in 2030." So they want to ensure we've completed the saga well before 2030. So a 1 year cadence is very much in the cards.
"With The War Within set to release sometime before the end of next year, this may be slightly faster than the current cadence of approximately two years between each expansion."Umm... No? 6/3=2?
If turning into 18-month expansions, that will make the saga conclude by Spring/Summer 2029. They could be shorter than 18 months but very unlikely longer. I suspect this is part of the package Metzen signed up for, so whether he stays with Bliz after this saga is not confirmed.
