World of Warcraft Shadowlands Patch 9.2 Eternity's End has had a mixed reception. Although most people rate the new zone Zereth Mortis and the Sepulcher of the First Ones raid is giving us a thrilling Race To World First on Mythic, there has been anger around the defeat of the Jailer and ending of the story, the Mal'ganis dreadlord "retcon", the timegating on features like the Cypher of the First ones and Creation Catalyst and other story elemts. That's usually what goes on with this channel. In case you haven't noticed, all the content creators stress negativity now in their titles on YT. Figure it out; it has to do with what YOU click on, so the channels can survive. If you click on almost any Asmongold WoW video, all the titles are about doom for the game, but if you actually listen to him, it's usually not all bashing the game. Same with Bellular. Taliesin is very ironic and honest. I will say one Youtube channel I've stopped watching as its just constant negative videos, like way over the top, is Bellular. He's completely jumped the shark and should honestly move on to a game he enjoys more. I just couldn't take the "WoW bad" content anymore.

I actually enjoy the puzzles but not worth the time besides the daily...) and the quick comment about clicking on pocopoc when you don't want to but when you do want to, always takes several tries.

He seems to like ZM overall quite a lot. I admit it has grown on me as more stuff and powers have unlocked. I agree the first week or two was pretty sterile, and fighting mobs felt really overpowering (my demon pet constantly dying).

His idea for making Sandworn gear be used in the Creation Catalyst would be great for open worlders. Still likely needs a ilvl boost.

Liked his points on Torghast and mandatory content in general. Would be interesting to see Blizz experiment with simplifying things. Like at the extreme, just one currency you need for everything that you can get doing whatever content you enjoy. That'd likely not be enough of a "game" but I'd like to see things drift that way again. The whole legendary and domination socket stuff, for example, has become way too complicated. There wasn't a well-thought out climactic "ending" for Arthas, and we were told, by Sylvanas, that his story is complete.

Bolvar, who was the highlight of this expansion's cinematic, was nothing but a quest giver the entire expansion, only to get yelled at by Taelia for "not being a good father" and just sitting and accepting the berating.

Jaina and Uther, who had both been incredibly relevant in Arthas' story and upbringing since WC3 didn't get a SINGLE word when his soul dissipated.

Tyrande, who was slowly dying due to the Night Warrior corruption, killing Nathanos (Who, by the way - do you remember him being in Shadowlands? At all?) just... Forgives Sylvanas for killing off a majority of her race and burning Teldrassil because Elune said "It was just part of the plan."

For people unfamiliar with the channel: Taliesin is someone who genuinely loves World of Warcraft and has for quite some time. He raids Heroic with his wife + guild, he does most of the content and has a genuinely good time. He also really loves the lore. Generally his channel is about wow updates and content, a skit here and there, and he almost always showcases how nonsensical and tired wow's critics remain on the forums. They've been around forever, most of us roll our eyes at them. Tali puts them on blast on youtube so we can have a good laugh, thus the name of the episode is a quote from one such Chad.

I mean, honestly, when Burning Crusade came out, tradechat was filled with "Flying has KILLED the game!" And they were mad that their gear didn't last forever, as it was replaced by questing gear. It was the death of WoW and nobody would ever play it again. Rinse and repeat the same tired arugments for the entierty of WoW's history and you'll arrive at people who 'ragequit' (though they're always on wow fansites, aren't they?) over something trivial and meaningless.

Some of us actually enjoy the game. So it's always refreshing to have a streamer/youtuber who also enjoys it. <3

OH and as for the 'vast majority'. The vast majority of players on WoW don't even comment on forums or visit third party sites. They play the game, watch the cinematics, do world quests and maybe LFR. Then they log out and play other games until next week. The negative opinions on wowhead or the forums or youtube comments are generally the smallest of sample sizes.
