I always enjoy optimism over pessimism, but giving a completely unbiased account of things is even easier to do.
Man I would love cross faction raiding. The time of alliance vs horde is gone!
Promoting their products, I mean, Tali makes it clear that he hates the fact that there's an in-game store with mounts and stuff, makes it clear that he has a hard time still playing the game. He doesn't force himself to say he likes or dislikes the mounts themselves.RemovedAnd to be clear, I'm part of those who kept saying Taliesin was a Blizzard-shill in the past. But ever since the allegations came out this summer, you have to admit that Tali has changed his tune a bit.
Hopefully 9.2 PTR drops today, or at least, this week. We'll soon see if Blizzard has learned their "lessons", as they claim in their interviews.
Cross faction needs to happen. I switched my pandas (i only play pandas) to horde because alliance was dead but I prefer the alliance cities and overal lore of it. I don't hate the horde, but I never wanted to go Horde in the first place.
I want cross faction raiding because I think that raids are almost every time major threats that both factions deal with together or rather that adventurers cross faction lines to deal with; it even is so in canon by the Chronicle. And I get cross faction instanced content in general because it serves a purpose with how rough the faction divide is. But I do NOT want cross faction everything. There has never been a satisfactory conclusion to the faction wars. The only time the faction issues were ever addressed by someone with the right attitude was by Taran Zhu in the Isle of Thunder (and look what that got him both in game and by the very open hatred by much of the fandom). Peace should come because of pragmatism, not because of naive idealism.
The easiest solution would be to toggle cross-faction with the war mode switch:
Why does wowhead promote arguably one of the rudest and most toxic figures in the wow community? Taliesin is a phony nice guy. Go spend a few minutes in his twitch chat and watch him absolutely rail on a random chatter that he disagrees with. Terrible person.
I'll frankly be kind of bummed if "the Jailer" is the bad guy we set aside our differences for and band together for cross faction raiding; like come on. We fought each other all the while taking out the Lich King, Deathwing, N'zoth... While opposing Sargeras... Like, ugh. The Jailer already has so much stolen importance; I don't want this landmark to go to him.But like most people I'm of two minds on it because jesus, the Alliance needs the influx of Horde players that would give us.
