I did get a bit confused with the title and timing last week, since they mentioned 8.2.5 right around when the infodump happened, so it's nice to actually see them discuss the details rather than speculate.Comment by PaideiaDKI will freely admit to also having had impure thoughts about that new Wrathion model.. The pure passion and interest of the community are overwhelming.

On topic: while I totally recognize my bias as being a BElf/Forsaken main, but Calia looks damn creepy to me. There is something incredibly off-putting in her entire image, while every detail in and of itself doesn't seem to be so. She seems like she would quickly become best buds with Exarch "For the Greater Good" Yrel.

Valeera looks like she just plain stepped out of HotS. I'm surprised that she and Zappy Boi got updates before the Council of Three Hammers / Rommath, Halduron, Liadrin and, most importantly, Rokhan who seems to play the role of Darkspear leader in Vol'jin's absence.

Wrathion really changed over summer. With the dragon stories now resurfacing, I'm kind of worried for Alexstrasza and the Reds since all the other flights and leaders have gone off the deep end already or going to soon-ish (Nozdormu).Comment by IncandioAn assault on Stormwind and an assault on Orgrimmar makes sense. Possibly the fate of each faction leader will be unknown until an end-of-raid cut-scene with a Dragon Soul placeholder. That'd be pretty neat.

Anduin won't die because his story hasn't been developed enough and his dad just died. Something pretty grim will happen to Sylvanas. From a storytelling point of view the biggest bang for the buck would involve Genn Greymane. Maybe Genn throws himself in front of Anduin to save him from a Sylvanas "death bolt" just as Liam Greymane threw himself in front of Genn. Genn is after all a father figure to Anduin so there would be a nice mirroring going on there. Then Anduin kills or imprisons Sylvanas, an act which he's already being prepared for emotionally with all his "this won't end until Sylvanas is gone" talk. Other possible Sylvanas Stoppers include Calia and Genn himself, naturally. "You finally caught your prey, Old Wolf," etc etc.

I can't see a Forsaken Allied Race for Alliance myself, that just seems too heretical... unless it's a strategy to address faction imbalance... My money's on a period of peace between Alliance and Horde with Calia as leader of Forsaken and Baine as leader of the Horde, for a couple of expansions at least until the Void is dealt with.Comment by Snowy6The useful thing about FFXIV is you can also run the dungeon/raid in a undersized party and you have the option to run it unsynced. Though, if they are right about alliance getting mechagnomes and the horde vulpera, I feel kinda bad for the alliance. But, I'd rather be a tiny fox person than a tiny cyborg, so that is just my bias.Comment by RaviliousIf you log on to the PTR there is an updated Calia Menethil model with Voice Emotes in the Netherlight Temple, her model is a little different as she's not wearing the head piece.
