Would be great if they drop this mount in the store. I have a 6 month subscription plan, which I got about a month ago. I have to drop another 155 bucks on top of that to get this mount...

To those defending this mount is skewed. The issue isn’t that it’s essentially “gifted/free”. The issue involves Blizzard essentially is asking for a 12 month pay advance on behalf of the player. Now given we’re entering a new expansion, many will be playing for at least a year anyways. However, this isn’t necessarily the case. What if they have another 6-9 month drought? It’s unlikely, however, it happened in SL. If this happens it doesn’t matter. Why? Because you’ve already paid them for 12 months of game time so they really just have to release content close to that 12 month mark or so incentivizing you to purchase another 6-12 month sub. This is the flaw
I don't see why if you're all hot to unsubscribe from WoW, you'd give a single crap about this mount anyway. This is a discount on paying for a game most of the people are going to pay for anyway. I didn't unsub because I don't join the meme bandwagon for "this expansion sucks" every single expansion. If the expansion sucked, I'd just go find something else to do instead of complain about how much it sucks. You're allowed to move on and find something else to do instead of hate what you're doing and paying for. Lotta games out there. Also grass. Meanwhile, there's this for people who don't unsubscribe from the game anyway. It's not a scam, it's a reward. If it's not your thing to actually enjoy playing the game, this ain't for you and maybe it's time to move on.

And why they didnt do Blizzcon 2022 and put it as the reward?. Covid 19 wasnt a huge issue this whole year so it is not an excuse anymore. They should have done Blizzcon again this year at least virtually and give this mount as a FoS. People would be happy right now.
I'm enjoying the mount, it's really fun to ride on and the spacebar emote is funny.
It's such a blackpill to see this mount and the other beetle one put into a 12 month bundle than be available in game through achievements or questing. It really bodes terribly for Dragonflight that the expansion will be barebones with a stacked storefront for whales to keep the game afloat.But of course this is Wowhead where dull shills say you're not allowed to complain about things until you have M Jailer or multiple glad mounts.
They are giving a free mount away for their loyal playerbase who would buy the subs over a year anyway, that's what I call good customer service. ^^
